Enfire (エンファイア, Enfaia?) is a recurring status effect. Units under the Enfire status will gain a Fire-elemental physical attack.

Final Fantasy XI
Enfire grants a character's auto-attack additional Fire-elemental damage on hit. It can be granted by Red Mage spell Enfire.
Final Fantasy XIII
The Enfire status is represented by the character's weapon glowing orange. Players can only bestow it with the Synergist's Enfire ability. It adds the fire attribute to the target's Commando, Ravager, Sentinel, or Saboteur attacks, which are not already of another element (i.e. it will not make Froststrike fire-elemental).
Fire-elemental Ravager abilities under Enfire will deal x1.3 damage. When using Flamestrike, the animation for Fira (which is an area attack) will display.
Attacks unaffected by Enfire include full ATB skills (aside from Death), most Eidolon abilities, and some special attacks like Smite.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII
Enfire is bestowed by specific auto-abilities, equipment, accessories, and items. It lasts 30 seconds.
