Defense Down

Defense Down (防御ダウン, Bōgyo Daun?), also known as Compromised, Defense ↓ (物理防御力ダウン, Butsuri Bōgyo Daun?), DEF Down (DEF低下, DEF Teika?), or WDef DOWN (武防ダウン, Take Bō Daun?), is a recurring status effect that reduces the target's physical Defense.

Defense Down, also known as DEF Down, lowers the afflicted's Defense by 1/12, which can stack up to 10 times. Different abilities apply varying stack levels.

Status that reduces physical defense.

Compromised reduces Vitality. The player can inflict it on enemies with Prompto's Piercer, the War Sword, and the Delta Daggers. The Casual Outfit, Trendy Outfit, and Ribbon protect against it.

Called WDef DOWN in the game, can increase the damage taken by physical attacks.
