Introduction: SquidgiePDX

I'm primarily a writer, but on occasion do video work.  Rarely, but it happens.

I hereby give anyone permission to remix any of the stories that I've authored, or use any of the universes that I've created, as part of any work that they see fit.  People can use my original characters, remix a story, or podfic, and don't need my permission to do so - though I would like to be notified so that I can see the results!

However, people may not take my works and present them as their own.  Plagiarism hurts everyone!

But please - share, reuse, remix to your heart's content!  Especially the AUs (alternate universes) that I and elderwitty have created.

Intro

Hi all!

I'm looking forward seeing the different takes on the fic/art/vids available here.

I'm primarily writing in the Supernatural fandom right now--gen, het, and wincest, but I also have fics from The X-Files, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Once a Thief to name a few.

I've also done wallpapers, vids and slideshows.

You can find all my work at kayljays_fic. All my work is available for remix of any type--including change of fandom--without my prior permission under the following conditions and license:

The following conditions also apply:

Any art, including story banners, not credited to riveroceansea is not available for remix without the artist's permission.

The X-Files 'Kraft Dinner' universe is not available for remix without the permission of my co-writer evesharmony under her terms.

Please credit and link back to the orignal story.

I'd love to see what you've done with my work! Feel free to send me a link via email:

Doctor Who - Martha

Intro: azarsuerte

This is an incredible idea. I've always said that if I were a professional writer, I'd be a fanfic writer's best friend because I love it when other people play in my sandboxes. :-) So, naturally, as soon as I heard about this place I had to poke my head in. Don't know if anyone will *want* to play in my world, but if they do, what little criteria I have are listed below. :-)

So, that being said...hi, I'm Azar. I write fanfic, do fanart, fanmixes and the occasional fanvid. My fanfic website features over 30 different fandoms, and I've dabbled in even more than that probably. Said website can be found here:

Probable Impossibilities

For my fanfic, you are welcome to remix, write sequels, prequels, finish WIPs, etc., whatever, without my express permission--unless you want to change the pairing and/or kill a character, in which case please do ask my permission first--provided you a) credit me as the original author, b) provide a link to the original work, and c) send me a link to your story so I can read it. If I like it, I may even ask you if I can link to it from my website and treat it as part of the "canon" for that universe. :-)

There are only two blanket exceptions to this:

1. Fic I've co-authored with another writer who does not have permissions posted here to this comm.
2. Fic by me but set in another fanfic writer's universe (IE: medie's Cornerstone series) who does not have permissions posted to this comm or that is not considered an open AU.

Also, obviously, blatant plagiarism does not fall under these protections, but if you want to quote a bit of the original fic, that I have no problems with as long as at least most of it is yours. :-)

Art, vids, mixes, etc. DO need my explicit permission to be remixed, ficced, sequeled, whatever. Especially anything I've done as a collaboration with another fan.

I'm going to look into the various Creative Commons licenses eventually, but until then this should hopefully cover everything. If you have any questions or if anything isn't clear, just ask. :-)

(no subject)

At the moment, my current obsession is Stargate: Atlantis and McKay/Zelenka, though I dabble in other pairings and fandoms, such as CSI and Harry Potter.

You are welcome to remix any fic I have on LiveJournal, I just ask that you link me to the remix and include a reference to cinaed.

You can find links to my stories in two places: here, where I keep my prompt table fics and here, where all of my SGA and most of my CSI and HP fics can be found.

sef1029 intro

I’m an infrequent writer with a few SG-1 and Highlander stories to my name. I love the idea of people reimagining fiction I have posted on my website:

http://sef1029.googlepages.com/Fic…

Feel free to expand a drabble, do a parody, write a sequel, add the missing sex scenes, recast from humor to angst or vice versa, change the pairings, write the Furlings’ POV—whatever you please. You do not need my permission.

Graphics on the site are not my own, and naturally I can’t grant permission to use them. Text is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 License.

Unfortunately, I’m in a stressful and extremely time-consuming new job and don’t anticipate any opportunity to do rewrites myself in the foreseeable future. For the same reason, I can’t promise to review any remixes. But I would certainly appreciate a link back to the original story and an email to let me know where to find your work.
SG-1 where it might take you

Intro: niamaea

Awesome comm concept.

I have a relatively small fic-archive that is currently exclusively Stargate: SG-1 focused (although that may change in the future); the easiest way to find my work is to visit my journal and check the 'fic' tag, or just go to this archive post, which lists essentially everything I've written and posted to date.

I'm opening up anything I've written thus far to be remixed in any way, without prior or specific permission from me required.  If the impulse strikes you, go nuts!  My only requirement is that you link back to the original work in your remix, and that you credit me as the original author.  I'd appreciate an email (niamaea at livejournal dot com) or a comment on my journal as a heads up that you are or have done something with one of my fics, and I'm requesting that anything remixed from one of my pieces is made available to be remixed by others in turn, but credit is the only real requirement.

(A heads up when you've remixed something of mine really would be very kind of you, though.  I'm nice, I swear!)

Obviously please don't try to sell anything based off of my work, or archive any of my unaltered work anywhere without asking me first

Intro: splash_the_cat

I write almost exclusively in SG-1 fandom. I write a little bit of everything, but my primary focus is gen and het (Sam/Jack), with a healthy side helping of zombies and humor.

The full details of the Creative Commons license for my work and a link to my site are noted below - in short, have fun playing in my sandbox, but: credit me, don't plagiarize me, don't sell anything based off my work, and you have to share, too.

With the exception of archiving my work, you do not need permission from me first.

Intro: My name is Maygra

I'm a writer, a storyteller. My current fandom love is Supernatural, but I've written in Highlander, Star Wars:The Phantom Menace, Magnificent 7 (the TV Series), Smallville, and The Fast and the Furious. I'm fond of AU's, crossover, future-fics and ongoing themed series. People are welcome to borrow anything from ideas to universes, to concepts or to continue existing storylines. I also occasionally write under the name leila_sharpe.

All of my fan fiction and some of my original fiction is covered under the Attribution-Non-Commercial-Share Alike license:

Most of the works covered can be found either in my livejournal (maygra) or at my website: http://wordsmiths.net/Maygra.

If you want to riff, rewrite, remix, run with, or expand on any piece of fanfiction I've written ever feel free to do so. You do not need permission. You may certainly ask for permission if you feel the need and I'll grant it, but it's not necessary. (However, if it was a collaborative effort -- and there are many -- I am in no way speaking for my past or future collaborators.)

Specifics: I do request that you credit, regardless of whether you change the whole universe or merely spring board off a certain situation or turn of phrase -- if you know you got it from me, it would be nice to have credit (and possibly a link back to the original story, possibly a cup of tea and some cupcakes would be a nice gesture too.)

That said, as a blanket permission, I assume no obligation to beta, read, like, comment, or otherwise slap a seal of approval (or disapproval) on the work. I might really love it and tell you so. I might really love it and say nothing at all. I might offer to beta it or I might not. I might really hate it and while it's highly unlikely I will tell you so, I might (especially if someone ask me what I thought.) What I'm doing here is disclaiming any obligation to do anything other than treat it like any other piece of fanfic.

Original Fic: If you feel moved to spring board off my original fic, I'd ask the same courtesy be extended to me as to any other creative entity involved in books, television, or movies: Credit it, don't try and make money off it, don't claim it as your own. Pretty much all the original fic and poetry posted on my website is registered with the copyright office even if it is unfinished or unpublished by conventional means. Because those works, are my retirement plan. *g*
SG-1: My Team

Intro: My name is Sela

I love fanfic and fanfic writers and I love the idea of this community.  I don’t know how much I’ll be writing but I would be interested in seeing how others would rewrite my fics.  My fandom is Stargate and I write both SG-1 and Atlantis.  If you read any of it, you'll know I love Jack and he figures at the center of most of it.  You can find the majority of my fics at my Sela21k Archive on Live Journal.  Feel free to rummage around in there and fiddle with what ever you’d like.  Please let me know when you do as I would love to read it and please add a “based on the fic …” so people can compare them side by side.

I also have an original SG Universe, “Stargate - Parallel Universe” that is a multiple chapter work with an original character, Dana Nelson.  Feel free to read it through and if you want to write based on this universe, please check with me first.  This is my baby, but it’s also very new and full of possibilities. I’d like to see some more interaction within this universe as it also has a slight touch of “The West Wing” thrown into it.  The only thing I ask is that Stargate: Parallel Universe remains a slash free zone and you abide by the parameters of the universe set out in the first post of the journal.  Everything else goes – except killing off my OC Dana.   :) But…we could discuss that….especially if it’s a dark fic.

Feel free to ask questions, request background info, whatever. Have at it, have fun with it. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
