We got there in approximately an hour and 45 mins, we got there and TapRoot was already one song into their set. So I got in there and the show was great 2nd taproot show in as many nights for me!
We got there just as taproot was goin on and they rocked it. It was a bit
disappointing that their set was so short but after going to the flint show monday
night and watching them play a 2 hr headliner, a 45 min support set just isnt the
same. but they rocked nonetheless. after their set, i talked with jarrod, phil, and
mike, and jarrod addressed me as Phetus, it was funny. They signed a bunch of stuff, and I was fortunate enough to get the guitar tuning setlist for the
show (which mike signed with "THANX PHET!" LoL. Steve came out briefly but went right in before we could talk to him, the stupid security guards shoo'd us away.
Didnt see 30STM or Chevelle, had no desire to. I drove approx. 2 hours to see taproot for 45
mins and it was worth every second!
the setlist was:
Mirror's Reflection
Myself
Mine
Facepeeler
Smile
Again
Calling
I
Poem
We hung around after the show and I talked to the guys some more, apparently they're playing a stripped down 3 song set at the in store signing on August 16th before the CD release party.
Possibly going to see TapRoot in Toledo on monday night, 3 shows in 2 weeks! IM BACK BABY! CONCERTS GALORE!
-Peace,
Phetus

- TapRoot, "Calling"

what can i say? my voice is shot, my back is bruised and my ears are still ringing 3
hours later. The first headliner in two years at probably one of the best venues in
michigan. The opening bands weren't bad, Morphic and Jetta Red, and while we were
chilling outside, Phil and Jarrod came out to shoot the shit with some people and
friends. But we were there for one reason only... Taproot kicked ass, they said it
was the longest they'd ever played in front of an audience ever... approximately an
hour and a half maybe two hours. the following is the setlist (the majority isnt in
any order):
MIRROR'S REFLECTION
DRAGGED DOWN
FACEPEELER
MINE
"NEW SONG"(they played a new song that steve said was called something else on the
record, i dont know the title)
ART
FAULT
NOW
COMEBACK
SMILE
I
AGAIN & AGAIN (they made 2 guys play rock paper scissors to decide whether to play
again and again or day by day
MYSELF
BREATHE
CALLING
POEM
-During Poem, Steve and Mike walked outside and did the song in the outer area,
leaving Jarrod and Phil on stage. Got to thrash it up with Steve in the Pit for a
bit, then after the show, the guys hung out and signed stuff and talked to everyone
for awhile, Jarrod actually remembered me from when I saw them in England on the
Welcome tour in '02. Cant wait for Grand Rapids tonight night!!

I can't seem to find a Taproot community that people keep up-to-date with posting. I need some info on when they are going on tour because their website doesn't work for me. Is it that way for everyone? It just keeps going back and forth between the intro and Blue Sky Research. I am dying to see them again. I've seen them 5 times now and that needs to continue. Hopefully someone comes back to this community and we can chat about Taproot live....!
