Hi everyone, i just stumbled across this community.

Well, I'm going to be a counselor at Camp Pocono Trails this summer, I've never been to camp before, etc. and I noticed a few of you have experience with CPT. Any experiences you want to share with me? Was it fun? difficult? how did it all work? any advice/stories would be great. Thanks :)

Alright I have this thing figured out. I just need to get a docters appointment, and then I'm going to Camp Shane. Yay. :)

Hey guys! I was wondering if any kind of insurance covers fat camps. My family has blue cross blue shield and we were thinking if we talked to a doctor and convinced them that I need this, than maybe we can get our insurance to cover it (if it doesn't already). Has anyone tried that? I mean I really really want to do this, but it's so expensive I think (I want to go for 9 weeks at Camp Shane)

More questions I have is at Camp Shane do people normally lose like A LOT a LOT of weight? I want to work really hard and lose a lot. Also how is it coming back to school after your summer? How do you explain yourself to people? I mean.. I really don't want to go "Yeah I just couldn't lose anything on my own so I went to a fat camp." Do a lot of people ask when you come back? :O

hey just wanted to know if anybody even reads this anymore. i am looking for a comunity for fat camps or for camp shane. i have a job offer for camp shane and i want to take it but i dont know if i should since i dont know anyone in new york (i live all the way in miami). i went to vangaurd and it was alright.

I was renting a movie the other night at blockbuster and I saw this WICKED fat kid. He musta been like 14 or so. Either way I noticed he had a yamaka on, and, whether I was the only feeling it or not, we bonded; for I was once a fat jewish kid as well (now I'm just a jewish kid). I wanted to go over to him and put my hand on his shoulder and be like, "There's still hope Shlomo...there's still hope." But then I decided not to, cuz I figured he'd just get scared (I knew how easily freightened fat jews can be). Either way, I think I need to start up a jewish fat camp. Now I just need a clever name to sell it with.
