Prompts: So the ExCreRs are fourth generation and the Estailevs are fifth generation. What were the first three and what were they like? I've not found any canon referencing them so go wild? Or just something from the viewpoint of a pilot and their specific machine. What's Warcrow like? Or Cassowary?

Prompts: My dear random murderhusbands, lol. Loyalty, a callback to the original event Kaze came from (but a rescue instead?), wyverns! wyverns! wyverns!, ninja skills, all the scars, staying together post-canon?

Prompts: I'd love any post-canon whatnot in fic, because the ending was completely open and basically set up for so much more. Go with any of my general likes. Not a hard-DNW, but while everyone is welcome if the story calls for them, it's okay to skip Gwen.

Prompts: So the Grimnir in Dragalia Lost is canonically the Grimnir from Rage of Bahamut. And then there was everything linking Dragalia Lost and Fire Emblem Heroes. And Fire Emblem Heroes pulls from dozens of alternate timelines of Fire Emblems so... Listen, all of Fire Emblem is canonically part of Rage of Bahamut. That is the entire prompt, please have fun with it.

The wyvern’s wings beat hot wind over the ruins as Michalis hauled the last of the chains free and stepped back.

“Go,” he said.

Kaze did not, instead he stood where he was, wrists red, tunic torn, blood dark in the seams of old scars, the kind that never quite faded, not on the skin and not elsewhere. He inclined his head instead, just slightly, not gratitude exactly. More like recognition.

Michalis snorted and turned toward his wyvern. “Suit yourself.”

The flight was silent. Kaze’s hands rested light at Michalis’s waist, careful not to touch where the armor was cracked, where something had struck too close once. Below them the world was smaller than all the loyalties that had ruined them both.

Later by the fire, Kaze cleaned his blade. Michalis watched him from across the flames.

“You were loyal.” Michalis said finally. Not a question.

Kaze’s mouth curved, though barely. “I was foolish.”

Michalis huffed a humorless laugh. “Yes.”

They shared the quiet after that, two weapons discarded by their wars now choosing, inexplicably, not to be alone anymore.

Thank you for this! These two originally sort of... escaped the crushing implications of FEH's setup. (Seriously, nightmare fuel! The game never really did address this and I've long since become a seasonal.) Okay, maybe not escaped because wtf Kaze, absolutely unexplained. But they ended up complimenting each other in one of my parties and whoops, that's enough for a ship. ^_^;;

Anyway, excellent, this really made me smile with all the details.

So I don’t know fire emblem at all but I attempted a little chibi sketch based on their wiki images lol! In my head I thought it might be cute for Michalis’s wyvern to end up super attached to Kaze (might be way off base with their canon but I hope you find it cute regardless :))

Thank you so much! This is super-cute and immediately reminded me of this icon, which is from one of the comics the game posted on socmed. They're absolutely a left-field ship but early-game had a lot of unexplained events and fuzzy-canon and these two just kept ending up on my teams together so obviously something is going on... ^_^;;

Anyway, thank you. This is a delight.
