William Ryan Gramercy was a lawyer and a partner of the Gramercy & Ulster law firm before the Great War.
Background[edit]
Gramercy's firm was hired by James Duncan to locate his brother Jonathan and get the code for the Assaultron showroom in Duncan & Duncan Robotics, which Jonathan had supposedly changed.[1] Gramercy posted men in the neighborhood around the Duncans' store to deliver a court summons to Jonathan. However, the men mistook James for his twin and caused an "altercation," causing Gramercy to send an apology letter on behalf of his firm and asking James to differentiate himself from Jonathan in some way.[2]
In reality, Gramercy's efforts would never succeed, as Jonathan was actually deceased. James had simply gone delusional, believing that Jonathan was still alive and messing with their business.[3]
