Vault Steel, previously known as Vault 94 Steel, is a form of currency and crafting component in Fallout 76.
Gameplay[edit]
Alongside Legendary Modules, Vault steel is one of the unique components for crafting Vault 94 armor sets:
Locations[edit]
- Sold by Purveyor Murmrgh for 10 scrip each.
- Vault Steel was previously rewarded upon completion of any Vault 94 Raid, regardless of difficulty setting. The quantity of steel given varied depending on difficulty, with Novice, Standard, and Expert giving 2, 4, and 6 pieces of steel respectively.
Notes[edit]
- Like vault armor, their plans, and legendary modules, vault steel cannot be dropped.
- Prior to the Wastelanders update, Vault Steel was named Vault 94 Steel.
- The Armorer perk at rank two or more reduces the cost of Vault steel needed for crafting.
Behind the Scenes[edit]
- The component for Vault 96 Steel Scrap remains in the files for the game.
- Although the player can hold up to 5,000 Legendary Scrips, Purveyor Murmrgh only offers 5 Vault steel, or 50 Legendary Scrips worth, at a time and, unlike Gold Bullion vendors, does not refresh her vendor inventory each time she enters the trade interface. Since her inventory cannot be infinitely refreshed, the player must either server hop or wait on the same server for 216 minutes of real life time in order to replenish the stock. In order to spend all 5,000 Scrip in one play session, the player must server hop 100 times, or wait a cumulative 360 real-world hours.
