The Plasma Cutter is a melee weapon in Fallout 76, introduced in the Steel Dawn update.
Gameplay[edit]
A mobile cutting device with a modular assortment of "blades" formed by superheated plasma, electrical current, controlled flame or cryogenic material. The blade is retracted until activated, then two plasma (or other type) cathodes at the top of the handle travel the length of the "blade" and hit the anodes at the top, unlike a physical blade of worked material. The weapon is activated by flipping the switch above the handguard and is enabled by a power source on the opposite side.
