Miranda Song is a resident of Vault 81 in Fallout 4.
Background[edit]
Miranda Song is hostile towards all outsiders and traders visiting Vault 81, telling them "how much [they] don't need them."[1] She states that all outsiders are "selfish animals" that take advantage of others,[2] and will press the Sole Survivor to leave quickly as they don't need their kind "lingering around."[3] She also finds the opening of the Vault to be a mistake, adding that the Vault didn't need help before or now.[4]
If the Sole Survivor asks about her distrust for outsiders with a successful Charisma check, she reveals that she had met a woman from the outside who had promised to "take [her] away from all this."[5] She handed the woman all of her money, with the hope that she would "find [them] a place to live out there."[5] Following months of no contact, Miranda received word from a passing trader who mentioned that she saw the woman with a man in Diamond City.[5]
If Austin Engill is cured during Hole in the Wall, Miranda will give her thanks and apologize for being harsh, stating that she's "not beyond admitting when [she's] wrong."[6][7] She will inversely scold the player for taking the cure for themselves, calling them a "typical outsider."[8]

I don't hear from her in months, till a passing trader mentions she saw her with some man in Diamond City. You outsiders are nothing but liars, only looking out for yourselves."
