Clementine was formerly owned by the father of Meghan. When he died, torn apart by a Deathclaw, it was given to his daughter, then working as a janitor in the Mayor's office in Diamond City. She named it Clementine and used it to become a mercenary for hire, joining Doctor Valerian's expedition to the Glowing Sea. She used it to kill many Sea Scavengers, but was ultimately kidnapped by them and forced to wear one of their suits. However, she locked herself behind a security gate and died rather than turning into a Sea Scavenger.
Clementine is a unique 12.7mm Sub-Machine Gun found during the quest Lost At Sea, with a legendary effect that does 30% more damage to wasteland creatures. Finding it requires unlocking a security gate by either hacking an Advanced terminal or finding the Boston FD Terminal Password on a Sea Scavenger on the level below. Unlike other 12.7mm Sub-Machine Guns, it is orange.
