Inexperience and alcohol. Yes, people still drink as they age but typically not as much as they become more experienced with it and it becomes less socially acceptable.
If we had breathalyzer starts on every car we would save an enormous amount of lives for very little expense or inconvenience.
By that I mean good ones, not the crazy ones that apparently can make your car stop while you're driving on a glitch. And by good ones I mean it'll only check while you're starting the car and it's set so it'll still start if it doesn't know. Those are really simple ways to fix the problems presented by the imperfect technology while still stopping a lot of drunk driving.
And the inexperience. 6 months or a year with a permit is not long enough. We should be giving kids permits at 14. And there should be some way to check up on kids getting the practice they need. The tests can really only test a basic knowledge of the rules and mechanics even if they were expanded, because they are limited in time. I'm not sure how to do it, but there needs to be a way to verify that kids are getting those mandated 60 hours of driving before their exam...except instead of 60, it should be more like 300. That sounds like a lot, but if the permit was moved to 14 that's only about 2.5 hours a week. And it really would help a lot.
I served David Ortiz popcorn and shit at the movie theater. I didn't know who he was until later, I think Nancy told me. He gave me a five. Which was cool of him.
I used to be INTP but have become INTJ. I wasn't really near the center on the P before, but I am now, at least. Kind of annoying. I feel going more center on that is just adjusting to be more like other people and thus fit in better. He judged. Annoying.
I don't think there's any popular belief systems that involve past lives that you can actually remember. Even the most devout Buddhist/Hindu/Gligulist would give you funny looks if you told them you were a peasant farmer named John in a past life.
It's the twentieth anniversary of the first Simpsons episode today. Who is your favorite Simpsons character—Ralph? Sideshow Bob? Ned Flanders? An actual Simpson?
Many beloved television shows are no longer with us, like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Six Feet Under, and Mystery Science Theater 3000. What defunct television show do you miss the most?
I got my DS thinger. I beat the pokemon league in Pearl. I am pleased.
It's kind of amusing that when they separated physical/special attacks from type, all existing Dark type attacks became physical, despite Dark being a "special" type in the previous games.
If Pokemon wants to continue, there's one very important thing that it must do: Stop making new ones. Bidoof, Sentret, Zigzagoon, and Rattatta are all interchangeable. 486 pokemon is more than a reasonable player can be asked to take into account, and you should not need 5+ different game carts to catch em all. 300 would've been a good place to stop. Focus more on new moves, new gym puzzles, new game devices...G/S added held items and eggs, R/S added innate abilities, contests, and secret bases, D/P added...being on the DS? Learning how to not use the touch screen effectively? Rock Climb? They did separate physical/special from type, which added important new elements to the metagame. And that was interesting. That's the kind of thing they need to be focusing on.
