So Friday night I burn my left ring finger, Tuesday(?) night I cut my right middle finger, and now my cat who normally can't break my skin when he tries ripped open my left ring finger, My hands are covered in bandaids! Or they would be if I could find my bandaids and the old ones didn't keep falling off. Raaargh
Writer's Block: Dog Day Afternoon
The Dog Days of summer, the hottest days of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, start today. What's your favorite thing to do in hot weather?
I have my fucking heat on shut up.

I got to bed at 11 last night! I feel awake at 7:30 in the morning! Woo!
Horoscope told me to try to get back together with an ex today lol.
I got my bill for school next year yesterday, cheered me up to remember I'm a full time student next semester.
I'm truly amazed by what a difficult time I'm having writing a cover letter. Also remembering I'm a full time student next semester makes me wonder if it's a good idea.
Making my own pokemon game might've been biting off more than I can chew, so at least for this summer I'm just doing a simpler Fire Red edit with my friends as gym leaders. Maybe if things get easier I can continue my previous idea.
Hmmm. Read god is not Great, finished Apollo Justice, finished Platinum, mostly, the battle frontier is endless of course. Watching Farscape and playing through emerald. Apollo Justice is the only one of those things that would seem worth writing about. Kind of interesting, the last case switches to a jury system, which sort of lampshades how awful the legal system normally in the game is. Also made me feel better about my plebiscite jury legislature idea which I'm still holding a torch for.
I'm gonna be Mando Diao for Halloween next year. All I need is some Armageddon boots, brown shades and brand new leather suit, with a blue lining white trenchcoat. Might be too expensive, we'll see. Maybe I can get a cheaper costume version with fake leather?
Also, decided Majora's Mask is better than Ocarina of Time. Why? Bunny hood. They were really close, but that really makes a difference in how fun it is. It's a little too short though.
I feel like I used to have interesting thoughts. Nothing here is interesting. It might just be that I never seem to be around people who disagree with me on anything anymore, so I don't have any internal conflict to breed new thoughts from. Or that's not even true. Dan disagrees with me that humanity has been and will probably continue to get better ethically as well as technologically. I just am too cemented in my position in that argument to think about it properly. Which is likely true for other things. I might be growing into an adult's ability to fail to think that I used to write about in middle school.

Writer's Block: Teenagers & Car Accidents
Why do you think teenagers are involved in more car crashes than any other age group?
Inexperience and alcohol. Yes, people still drink as they age but typically not as much as they become more experienced with it and it becomes less socially acceptable.
If we had breathalyzer starts on every car we would save an enormous amount of lives for very little expense or inconvenience.
By that I mean good ones, not the crazy ones that apparently can make your car stop while you're driving on a glitch. And by good ones I mean it'll only check while you're starting the car and it's set so it'll still start if it doesn't know. Those are really simple ways to fix the problems presented by the imperfect technology while still stopping a lot of drunk driving.
And the inexperience. 6 months or a year with a permit is not long enough. We should be giving kids permits at 14. And there should be some way to check up on kids getting the practice they need. The tests can really only test a basic knowledge of the rules and mechanics even if they were expanded, because they are limited in time. I'm not sure how to do it, but there needs to be a way to verify that kids are getting those mandated 60 hours of driving before their exam...except instead of 60, it should be more like 300. That sounds like a lot, but if the permit was moved to 14 that's only about 2.5 hours a week. And it really would help a lot.

( Music survey. Shaked, this is a meme.Collapse )
I'll put some content here I guess.
I haven't done nearly as much Javas as I'd hoped to by now and I will fail the class if it's not done by Thursday. And get an A if it is. What a crazy class.
Econ will be easy. I'm somewhat interested in the girl I sit next to in Econ and I should probably get her number today as the chances of seeing her again if I don't are really really small.
I found out there's tools out there to make your own pokemon game. I'm storyboarding out a really cool one that I hope I'll still be motivated enough to make this summer. But not motivated enough to do that instead of my multivariate calc, which I'm planning to take this summer. The multivariate teacher's door is covered in anti-Israeli propaganda which put me off a little bit. But whatever, it's a math class it probably won't come up.
The Final Fantasy IX soundtrack is much better than I had remembered. And I had remembered it being really impressive. I didn't really appreciate that there aren't any just filler songs. Every single song is evocative and complete. I can't even cut any of them to make ringtones because taking any part out hurts it too much.

Something I'm enjoying almost as much as "That's what she said" lately, though it's basically the same.
Add a matter-of-fact "sexually." to the end of sentences.
She was just horrible to him! sexually.
I haven't seen you for two years! sexually.
It works on everything! sexually.
Try it! sexually.
