    gummer (plural gummers)

    1. A person or machine that applies gum.
      • 1871, Chamber's Journal of Popular Literature, Science and Arts, page 299:
        [] then goes to the gummer, who applies a gum comprising oxide of gold and other ingredients.
    2. A punch-cutting tool, or machine for deepening and enlarging the spaces between the teeth of a worn saw.
    3. A cow or sheep etc. that has lost all of its teeth.
