Help on the Wilhelmsen article?
editHi, I'm Marius William Steen, the Group Communications Manager at Wilhelmsen Group. I recently posted an edit request on the Wilh. Wilhelmsen article Talk page about updating that article's History section. The History section is quite short at the moment, and all of the factual claims are supported by a single citation. I've made an effort to substantially expand the content and sourcing, especially about the company's early years of operation.
I'm hoping that editors here would be willing to take a look at the draft I put together and provide feedback. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Marius at Wilhelmsen (talk) 11:23, 24 January 2026 (UTC)

Carriage and horse-driving articles
editMost of the carriage and horse-driving articles are tagged for WikiProject Equine. A few are tagged for WikiProject Transport. Are you interested in having some or all of these articles also tagged for 'transport'? If 'some', then elaborate which types you're interested in. ▶ I am Grorp ◀ 18:28, 18 April 2026 (UTC)
- Support "Some": If the article describes something that was or is used for transportation then I support its inclusion in WikiProject Transport. We have sail. If sail is in, so too are horses, bullocks (oxen), elephants, dogsleds, spacecraft. Anything that moves or used to move people or freight (If it's no longer considered acceptable, the relevant article will mention that). Mounted police? Open to discussion. Racing sulkies? No. That's sport. Yacht racing? Sport, not transport. I also think WikiProject Transport should be listed as a "Related WikiProject" on WikiProject Equine. Kbwc56 (talk) 20:54, 18 April 2026 (UTC)
- As suggested, I added WP Transport to the WP Equine section on related WPs. Your examples really help me see the scope for WP Transport. As for "some" articles, take a look at my private watchlist of carriage articles. There, I can imagine tagging for transport the "vehicle articles", not "individual vehicles" (those may have wheels but they are status symbols, not really transport), not "harness articles" nor "driving breeds", and just a few of the "other articles". You're welcome to use my list and add WP Transport to any of these articles, if you like. That list overlaps with TM:Horse-drawn carriages, where you might find a few more to include. I'll start checking and adding WP Transport to the vehicle articles where 99% of them were transportation in the horse-drawn era. ▶ I am Grorp ◀ 21:22, 18 April 2026 (UTC)
Desperate for help on the Wilhelmsen article
editHi, this is Marius William Steen again. I posted here back in January asking for help updating the Wilhelmsen article's History section, which was (and still is) filled with citation-free research. I just posted another request on the Talk page about updating the Operations section. This section has featured a flag warning readers that it "needs additional citations for verification" since February 2009, so for more than 17 years. As you can imagine, the information currently there is wildly out of date! I have been unable to generate any interest in reviewing and implementing these requests. I'm really hoping someone involved in this WikiProject will take a look. Marius at Wilhelmsen (talk) 03:38, 29 April 2026 (UTC)

Hello, |

The article Atlasi (Qa'em) Square has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Unreferenced for 15 years. No other language has a reliably sourced article from which to translate. Stub about a small park, surrounded by red-linked streets and transport routes, which indicates a lack of notability.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion based on established criteria.
If the proposed deletion has already been carried out, you may request undeletion of the article at any time. Bearian (talk) 16:22, 21 May 2026 (UTC)

The Istanbul metro stations are all named like "x (Istanbul Metro)". Wouldn't "x metro station" be better?
editI am looking for other opinions here. If you guys agree, it may be sensible to move the pages. Youprayteas talk/contribs 14:36, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
- I think naming it "x station", like Paris Metro, Beijing Metro and most North American systems would be best per WP:CONCISE. Especially since stations that share names would have the "(Istanbul Metro)" added to the end. "X metro station (Istanbul Metro)" would be redundant. ElToAn123 (talk) 17:16, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
- Is “(Istanbul Metro)” really necessary? Do other systems do it like that too? Either way, your way works better too Youprayteas talk/contribs 17:36, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
- Just checked, most just do “x station” without (y Metro). So we could do just that too Youprayteas talk/contribs 17:38, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
- The "(Istanbul Metro)" parenthetical disambiguation would only be needed if there is another article about a train station with the same name. But it is very unlikely. ElToAn123 (talk) 19:15, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
- Oh okay, in that case, when another person approves too, I will just move all the station pages. Youprayteas talk/contribs 19:25, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
- I'll be the other person, it makes sense to me. Murgatroyd49 (talk) 19:50, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
- Okay, going forward with it then. Youprayteas talk/contribs 20:02, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
- @ElToAn123@Murgatroyd49 I did all of the current M1 metro stations as an example. Does it look good? Any feedback? Some of the stations have a metrobus connection and I was indecisive on whether to add a disambiguation of some sorts since the metrobus is essentially not even a rail service. Youprayteas talk/contribs 20:23, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
- You kinda jumped the gun, moving all those articles less than a day after starting the discussion. I see only three participants, hardly an overwhelming consensus. Anyway, to the comment
most just do “x station” without (y Metro)
, see Wikipedia:Naming conventions (UK stations). --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 07:48, 1 June 2026 (UTC)- Seems to me that the first thing I proposed “x metro station” was correct. Also you are right, think of it more like a demo. Anyway in this case I will do x metro station for all stations. Youprayteas talk/contribs 09:01, 1 June 2026 (UTC)

The article Audi Snook has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Tagged for notability concerns for almost 12 years. No other language has a reliably sourced article from which to translate. Poorly sourced stub about a car that was designed but never manufactured.
