List size limit
editIs there an official size limit for lists?
There is a discussion at WP:SAL where editors said they want to keep 32KB in a parenthetical remark from an example of selection criteria that involves complete lists, a remark that dates back to when Firefox had memory issues.
I have not seen any guidance anywhere else that says complete lists need to be shorter than any other kind of lists. Selbstporträt (talk) 21:38, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
- The only guidance I know of has to do with limits of a list's content, rather than size. See MOS:LONGSEQ and WP:SPLITLIST Rublamb (talk) 00:41, 1 June 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks. What I got so far is in my references for an essay I am writing on the art of listmaking. (It's a very rough draft.) Selbstporträt (talk) 02:46, 1 June 2026 (UTC)
Proposed addition of Mizuki Akiyama to non-binary character page
editThere is currently a discussion on whether to add Mizuki Akiyama, a character in the video game Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage, to the List of fictional non-binary characters (video games section). One IP user has provided sources supporting this addition, but two other editors have disagreed with this assertion. As such, discussion participation here would be welcome. Thanks. Hello, |

The article List of Chicago criminal organizations and crime bosses has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Tagged as unreferenced and missing list criteria for 12 years. No other language has a reliably sourced article from which to translate. We can't assume that every person mentioned in the list, and their widows, has died. Fails WP:NLIST. Created by a blocked sockpuppet.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion based on established criteria.
If the proposed deletion has already been carried out, you may request undeletion of the article at any time. Bearian (talk) 22:57, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
