Hi everyone. There has been an influx of new and temporary accounts to this talk page in the past week that are very insistent on changing the "South Asia" wording in the lead. I'll disengage from edit requests here for now, but it would be helpful to have some extra voices weighing in either way here. Thank you! Umby 🌕🐶 (talk) 01:20, 6 July 2026 (UTC)
- It seems editors in that page are insisting that "South Asia" is proper term for the geographic region in which Sanskrit originated. This is improper and vague. South Asia is a more of a Geopolitical term while Indian Subcontinent is more of a Physiographic term (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_subcontinent).
- The use of term "South Asia" and Indian Subcontinent alone is vague because South Asia is a MASSIVE region covering a number of countries.
- The correct location for origin of Sanskrit should be northwestern Indian Subcontinent. One can argue about northwestern South Asia but it will be awkward to read atleast.
- We should change origin of Sanskrit to "northwestern Indian Subcontinent".
- I hope some editors here help us with edit requests on that page. 71Ceremony (talk) 04:08, 7 July 2026 (UTC)

The article Naranbhai Keshavlal Parikh has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Tagged as unreferenced for 7 years. No other language has a reliably sourced article from which to translate. Biography by a SPA with 16 edits. Zero Google Books.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion based on established criteria.
If the proposed deletion has already been carried out, you may request undeletion of the article at any time. Bearian (talk) 02:15, 6 July 2026 (UTC)
Request for attention: Galgotias University
editThe Galgotias University article has a pending COI edit request on its Talk page proposing addition of a Rankings and Accreditations section, sourced to NIRF, NAAC, QS, and THE. The request includes full citation templates and sourcing notes. Input from experienced editors familiar with Indian university articles would be appreciated.

Saidapet and Porur articles had been rated Start-class articles but of late, they've been considerably expanded. Would be grateful if someone would do a reassessment. Thanks.-Ravichandar84 (talk) 02:33, 15 July 2026 (UTC)

editHello. I have submitted Draft:Kiddopia for AfC review. Subject is an Indian edtech application owned by Nazara Technologies. Previously declined for suspected LLM content, now fully rewritten. If any member has time to review it would be appreciated. ASharma97 (talk) 22:08, 19 July 2026 (UTC)
