The Lead of the Article needs to be Updated - Status has changed since prior RfC
editThe United States recognized East Jerusalem as part of Israel in 2017 after the freeze period expired.
This is obsolete:
The international community rejects the annexation as illegal and regards East Jerusalem as Palestinian territory occupied by Israel.
It should be in my opinion
Most of the international community rejects the annexation as illegal. Those that do regards East Jerusalem as Palestinian territory occupied by Israel.
