Adding a new AfD discussion
Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
  1. Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
  2. You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Israel|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.

You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Israel. Merge to Yehuda Glick. The org does not satisfy WP:ORG for standalone notability. Coverage is largely incidental to reporting on Yehuda Glick, its founder and leading activist whose activities are the primary subject of sources. Sources mention the org only in passing or as contextual background rather than discussing it in depth. In the absence of significant, independent coverage of the organization itself, a standalone article is not warranted per WP:NOPAGE. Any reliably sourced information about the organization can be merged into Yehuda Glick, where it is most relevant and appropriately contextualized. I propose redirecting to Subaru Leone because the sourcing provided does not indicate the subject is sufficiently notable for wikipedia.

The sources so far are a song which is WP:PRIMARY, a forum thread and facebook post which are WP:USERGENERATED. The two remaining sources seem reasonable but only contain a passing mention of the subject which is not enough to determine notability.

I have not been able to turn up additional sources during WP:BEFORE (though I am unable to look for Hebrew sources).

I think at best there could be enough here for a brief mention in the page for Subaru Leone and possibly other relevant models. Giulio 21:50, 15 July 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I get that some might want to mix Crime-Subaru to the Subaru-Leone page, but it was a somewhat popular page on its own on the Hebrew Wikipedia.
moreover, it is a moderately popular slang, which deserves its own page for explaining it fully. I am aware that 5 sources for a short page are maybe too little: and 2 of them being from an internet forums is laughable, but this is what a slang is, it grows from these niche forums on the internet; so expecting a more formal sources for a page about a slang is also absurd.
So I think that Crime-Subaru shall be left alone as its own page, while Subaru-Leone shall stay a separate page, or maybe just able to direct to the Crime-Subaru page.

  • Delete. Subaru's massive popularity in Israel during the 1970s and 1980s was an internationally almost unique phenomenon, ending when the major Japanese brands were also imported to the country. (Unique but for Chile, where this popularity lasts.) While this historical context absolutely deserves to be mentioned on the main Subaru page, it is currently not mentioned there. The indirect cultural references to the Subaru Leone found in the nominated article are not descriptive enough of this model to warrant a merge (also since the generic name of Subaru was used for the Leone model), and a straight redirect is not a viable option since the target page completely lacks this context. gidonb (talk) 16:27, 18 July 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Merge This is a compilation of data that fails to meet WP:GNG I haven't seen the notable independent coverage of population statistics to warrant this article. There are articles on the Israeli settlements that can cover this information thoroughly. Per WP:PAGEDECIDE, a single page provides more complete and comprehensive coverage of the concept of Jerusalem across myriad aspects of Judaism, not just prayer and ritual.   • (1) Professor Shustin gave an invited talk at the International Congress of Mathematicians 1990 in Kyoto, which is a great honor. (2) He won a prestigeous Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award from from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in 2001. (3) In MathSciNet his papers and books have 1,523 citations in 913 publications by 866 authors. In particular, there are 276 references in MathSciNet to the book: Introduction to singularities and deformations, Greuel, G.-M.; Lossen, C.; Shustin, E., Springer Monogr.   • Weak delete. I know little about citation rates for mathematicians, but from my inexpert perspective his research profile at Google Scholar looks respectable (h = 27), with an upward path, without meeting the threshold to make him notable. One thing I like is that he has plenty of one-author publications, leaving no doubt about who did the work. I won't lose any sleep if the decision is to keep the article.   • Keep. Citation counts good for pure mathematics, enough I think for WP:PROF#C1 (four triple-digit citation counts on Google Scholar in an area where those are rare). Also, being an invited speaker at an International Congress of Mathematicians is a very high honor, enough I think for #C2 (see sourced quote at top of link, "the equivalent, in this community, of an induction to a hall of fame"). —David Eppstein (talk) 17:54, 13 July 2026 (UTC)[reply]

My title "2nd nomination" may be wrong considering the number of related AFDs named differently. As with the prior version of this article that was deleted, the sourcing is primarily WP:CORPTRIV rather than WP:CORPDEPTH. The article was moved from draft space to mainspace by an editor with a declared COI, in violation of WP:COI guidelines. The article was recently quite promotional and cleaned up, but what's remaining doesn't appear notable, and doesn't alleviate the concerns from the prior discussions. ~Anachronist (who / me) (talk) 14:34, 11 July 2026 (UTC)[reply]

The blocked sock that appears to be the creator here was actually the creator of the original attempt from 2021. The current version created this month by Word-Oh (talk · contribs)–the declared COI editor mentioned by the nominator, but not blocked or a sock as far as is known–was briefly G11 speedy deleted, but when that was reversed, the entire revision history of the 2021 article was brought back (presumably not intentionally) as well (and remember, the first nomination ended in deletion). Keep. I am the creator of the article. Thanks for all the engagement here. I should have put my draft through AfC instead of publishing it straight to mainspace. I will use talk-page edit requests going forward. I think many of the sources may meet WP:CORPDEPTH:

  • Reference 4: TechCrunch, “Rapyd raises $300M on a $2.5B valuation to boost its fintech-as-a-service API” (13 January 2021): A staff-written article containing significant editorial context. Covers Rapyd’s origins, business model, market, customers and competitors, not just a funding round.
  • Reference 12: Calcalist Tech, “We are restructuring Rapyd: fintech unicorn begins layoffs amid AI shift” (28 May 2026): Original reporting covering the restructuring, layoffs, employee effects, and Rapyd’s AI strategy.
  • Reference 14: The Jerusalem Post, “Why do businesspeople buy sports teams?” (17 June 2026): An independent analysis that uses Rapyd as a central case study.

With this in mind, I would like to point out some additional online sources that may meet WP:CORPDEPTH. These are reliable publications and articles that provide context and depth, rather than simply republishing company announcements.

  • Keep. Weeding through puff pieces and WP:CORPTRIV like funding rounds and acquisitions, I think this coverage is independent, reliable, and significant, and not routine: Haaretz. Globes, CTech, CTech (again), Israel Hayom. There's also FT analysis of their fundraising and valuation that goes beyond routine parroting. Five outlets is I think is sufficient for WP:ORGCRIT.   • Keep as meeting WP:CORPDEPTH. My WP:THREE are in the article, the last one I have added myself. The nomination and sole delete vote are not well thought through. The delete vote is even emotional, WP:BEGGING. Companies become more important over the years or not. That is what we need to examine. So the fact that a company has been deleted before is of little relevance. Thank you for allowing me to expand on the rationale. The rationale to merge is not WP:DEFUNCT. The company may also not be entirely defunct. It may still have some paper existence somehwere. I suggest merging Egged Taavura as an unjustified WP:SPINOFF. Someone sat down and created unnecessary detail in articles on Israeli bus companies. Brief articles at that. I have also addressed the other daughter companies succesfullly: Dan BaDarom and Dan Beersheva. This is the previous merge debate: Talk:Dan Bus Company#Proposed merge of Dan BaDarom and Dan Beersheva into Dan Bus Company. It sheds more light on the problem. Egged Taavura was as a daughter of Egged and Taavura and is now or was until recently a daughter of Electra Afikim. The Egged Taavura brand vanished years ago. Electra Afikim is the bus branch of Electra Ltd. The proposed merge will complete the cleanup, not yet fill in where we miss articles but takes care of where we have articles and do not need that. I strongly agree with the relister that ownership and status do not matter at all. Fortunately, the consensus to redirect to Electra Afikim has not been affected by the extra opinion.
