As the beloved (and only) monarch of the Benevolent Dictatorship, I am pleased to make this foray into the public wanking that is LJ. The Benevolent Dictatorship is located on the breezy coast of the Sea of Endless Dreams. Our closet neighbor and historical ally is the Realm of Endless Obfuscation, presided over by the lovely Goddess Amaryllis. Our territories have an economic union, numerous free trade and labor agreements, and also sponsor a monthly Jazz Night and Hootenanny. You know - broadening cultural horizons and all. Recently, a territory thought to be uninhabited was discovered to be the Culinary Collective, presided over by Queen Khirya – monarch by day, feared Pirate of Pastries by night.

What’s up with this whole ‘Empress’ thing anyway?
Basically, my preferred online name was taken and so I had to add something to it when I signed up over here. Being the only girl of an only girl, I already had a sort of beloved princess complex going. My RL friends thought it terribly apropos and my imaginary realm, its peoples and courtiers, have become everyone’s playground. What can I say? Invent an imaginary world where you have limitless power and reality bends to your will and suddenly everyone wants to build a summer home there.

About Vesica:
Beneath the pomp and glittering tiaras, I am on a one-woman quest to make the gender neutral concept of a Renaissance person cool. *SIGH* This could take a really long time. You might want to go get a snack or something. Put more simply, I strive to be a "Jill of All Trades". I am interested in a ton of different, fairly specific subjects and want to learn as much as I possibly can about all of them.

I would list interests but listing what I have no interest in will be faster, trust me. I could care less about the history of weaponry, theoretical mathematics, most sports, and atonal music. Everything else is fair game. (See listed interests for a hint.)
