Still no verified success on the hair products front. A possible, but I want to play with it for a while. Thank goodness for CVS and Walgreens return policies.

It hit me the other day that I never posted my Yuletide stories. It is now the last day of January, so let's make that happen while I'm still in the month when people do that.

* Truths Too Dear - The Musketeers (2014) - My assigned story, a foray into a pairing that I hadn't really examined until the prompt.

* The Life That's On Your Path - The Mummy Series - My Madness story, because it needed to be written, on several levels.

If you're a cat owner who has ever thought about getting one of those pet water fountains, I can now say, "DO IT."

Tigger has always sometimes done the cat thing of wishing she could drink from the bathroom or kitchen tap, but she started doing it so regularly that I was worried what she was doing when I wasn't home. Well, Tigger LOVES this thing. To the point that the first day I had it out, she sort of didn't eat. Which worried me on a whole new level, of course, but that settled out within a few days. Total thumbs up from me.

I made myself chai a few nights ago, and because it was the first time I'd done so in a while, I did it wrong. The tea came out fine, but I forgot that I have a Chai Diffuser (really capitalized only in my head) to compensate for its power to take over a non-metal diffuser for at least three uses past the original steeping.

I am now drinking slightly chai-tastic assam tea. It's not bad, but...maybe I should put a note on the chai tin.

TV. It exists. I have not watched it. I should do that.

I do not want another foot of snow on Monday. Never mind the shoveling; we're already missing at least one lane from every street, including those that only have one lane. We cannot afford to lose more!

(I understand why every city/town lifted their parking bans after the storm stopped. They needed to not have lifted the parking bans.)

Go Pats!

Tigger is most fabulous. As for the snow....we had more last night and this morning...the next bout promises to drive the locals over the edge.

It was snowing most of yesterday, and through this morning, but light, pretty snow, the kind that only gets you another inch or two. What's supposed to be coming Sunday night and Monday is going to be a problem. :(

PS. I am rather concerned about this next storm...really hoping it's not heavy wet.....I think losing power over turkey day traumatized me. ;)

Oh, and I forgot to say - I've suspected that the local rabbit(s) are still around, since there were tracks under my car when I moved it during the Wednesday shovel-out. But this morning, this is what I saw under the bird feeder. (Which, ack, I need to go buy more, they've cleaned it out this week.)

Footprints! I love deciphering what's been and gone. Lots and lots of deer inspecting right up to the patio here. . . But sadly no horse to play with them as happened when I was a kid.

Seriously though. SERIOUSLY. Where do I put it?

THAT. That is the problem.

I am very happy to say that someone else shoveled before I got home tonight. (Actual quote from Orange Line conductor: "We're having weather problems because of the weather." Got it, buddy. On the plus side he said he was sorry for the inconvenience instead of any inconvenience, which is a silly pet peeve I know.) I haven't even looked at the car situation, though. Ugh. It's only, like, a month and a half until spring, right? Do I really need my car that badly?

I bought one of those last year, and it's terrific! No more cats leaping up to drink from the sink, they and the dog all drink from the fountain.
