HAPPY 2006

After the Mummer's Parade, the Rose Bowl totally doesn't measure up. They need a buddha. And both would be improved with judicious placement of pandas.

I need to write up a post on the Doctor Who special. I will say now, so much fun to watch it with a bunch of people. Oh, and the BBC should have been clearer about the Children in Need snippet being the INTRO to the special, not part of the special, because [livejournal.com profile] barkley and [livejournal.com profile] widget285 hadn't seen it and we had to show it to them after, and things made MORE SENSE then. Go figure.

(There are several avenues to world domination, by the by. I think mine was working pretty good, but Widget's was working for her, so...time will tell.)

What else...oh, my [livejournal.com profile] yuletide story. The important part is that now I can say, Thank you, [livejournal.com profile] rez_lo! for the beta. Officially, it's Our Blood and State. Spooks/MI-5. The more contained story than the one that I first had in mind, since that first one did not show signs of being one that would be done by deadline. And since hardly anyone watches Spooks, I'd love to know what those of you who do watch think of the story. No, I'm not above begging for attention now that the gift part is done.

Lastly, the icon is the best I could do on short notice to capture this. Download and watch the high-res long version if your connection can handle it.

having missed the mummer's parade i still have to agree with you; the utterly sogginess of the rose bowl process is actually getting....soggier. scuba gear required.

and from your description of the buddha, well, hard to beat that. ;)

commented over at yule, loved the story. *smoochy hug*

Hee, yes, it got very soggy by the end, there. Did you see the part where they were showing us the styrofoam or whatever that is that they stick the flowers into? It gets heavy when it gets waterlogged!

Hey, can you YSI me the Christmas Invasion? ::bats eyes, looks forlorn::

I thought your Spooks story was very good, but definitely designed for those who know the show. Good stuff.

Stupid YSI still hates wireless connections. I tried and it tried, and 15 minutes in it said, NO. Hrm, will try another route...

And yeah, it wasn't written to be accessible to non-watchers. That's the other story. The one that's gonna take a while to finish. But thanks. *g*

I did not leave the house today, but on the way home tomorrow? Oh yes.
