Poison resistance adventurers should be on the team.
Attacks and Patterns
On Hell's Brand
Hell's Brand is a special effect that causes all adventurer's healing to only restore 1 HP.
On Fury of the Fallen
Fury of the Fallen is a special effect that decreases all adventurers' strength significantly so that their damage is decreased to 999, 99, or 9 damage per hit for 1, 2, or 3 stacks of Fury of the Fallen
Phase 1
Note:
Fury of the Fallen and
Hell's Brand are unique to Phase 1 Tartarus. After defeating Phase 1, these effects will be removed, regardless if you have cleared the portals.
Umbral Nebula
Tartarus begins the battle with an Umbral Nebula which will go in a set path where the player(s) begin.
Dash Attacks(Red)
After the beginning Umbral Nebula, Tartarus will do 2 dash attacks
- The first dash attack will target the closest player
- The second dash attack will target the farthest player
Semi-Circle Strike(Red)
Tartarus then attacks with a semi-circle that begins in the middle then splits to the sides.
Void Ray
This attack will target 2 (or more if this attack is repeated) players. The targeted players should move to aim the rays away from other players.
Open Portal
Tartarus will head towards the center of the map and sends a shadow clone towards the blue circle. After the clone opens the portal, an unavoidable attack inflicts
Fury of the Fallen to everyone. Adventurers who have
Curse resistance should enter the portal. The player inside the portal is met with the clone that deals red area of effect attacks. A bar of the dragongauge fills after the player defeats the clone and
Hell's Brand is removed so players can now fully heal.
Relentless Rage
Tartarus will buff himself which can be removed with dispel. This buff causes his dash and semi-circle attacks to become unavoidable and have a larger hit area.
Dash Attack(Purple)
Tartarus will attack with a dash that strikes 2 times which means that he will strike forward then strike back in the same direction to return to the original spot.
Void Ray
Tartarus will summon 2 rays to attack targets. These rays will be larger than their normal variant if he has Relentless Rage active.
Dimensional Shift
Tartarus will create a bubble around the controlled player. While in this state, the adventurer cannot do anything except activate the dragon to break out. While in this state, damage taken will be negated. This can be used in cases where a hard-hitting move comes up and the adventurer would not live otherwise.
- Units who have a Hybrid Transformation can also use their unique dragon gauge to break free.
