Playing fandom catch up
✿ I've been taking a bit of a livejournal break, but hope to be around more soon. My lj time in general is going to be a bit more limited for a bunch of different reasons, a lot of it just life stuff, and not all of it omg! no! stress! -- still, a whole lot of Things, and my physical and mental energy has been limited these past few months.
✿ On a related subject, there is a Mac client for livejournal! Woot! I'm using it now. Don't know how good it is yet. I am ridiculously pleased about this, it will make my life easier. It can save drafts! Yes! It seems to lack a "preview" button.
✿ This seems to be the season for flist housekeeping, so if you were here solely for the weekly SPN episode responses/picspams, I'm not doing those on a regular basis any more. Every day is defriending amnesty day, and if you feel the need to move on, I'll understand. Thank you everyone who's taken the time to read those posts and comment and offer insight and thoughtful discussion. ♥
✿ I haven't really been writing episode reviews for most of the stuff I'm watching anyway, my brain hasn't been swinging in that direction, except for a tent pole episode here, some extreme squee there. You can still expect the occsional random picspam or meta. Picspams are crack.
✿ SPN canon and I have an understanding, and if it uses up too many of the markers it's got left, I don't have the energy to yell at it. I might have to stop watching it. I may love it enough that it overcomes my irritation. I may find myself using this usericon
a lot, or it may make me very, very happy. Hopefully it will keep delivering layered, gut-wrenching emotional storytelling and delicious subtext and canon crack and more squee and keymashing fodder than the urge to rant. (ETA: icon is by me, feel free to snag).
ETA: Feel free to share your feelings of ambivalence, but this isn't the post to share with me how much you think it's going to suck and how much you dislike certain spoilers or characters.
✿ The past two weeks of SPN promos and promo pics and spoilers have been very very flaily. Sera Gamble is RUTHLESS, yo. She knows where a certain percentage of the fangirl population keeps its buttons and keeps diverting my attempts to inch for the exit.

✿ I've been slowly uploading my fic to AO3. It will probably take me 1,236 days to catch myself up to now -- I'm not backdating to original date of LJ posting, I'm trying to post in the order I wrote stuff in. I have an invite if anyone wants.
