So far this season continues to play with the blue-red-yellow-green, spots of color that seem over-saturated and stand out. It's been too emphatic for me to think it's not deliberate. For reference, see my Fringe 4.01 color picspam. 4.13 had a lot going on with that.

In general Fringe continues to surprise and delight me. Last week's felt like a vintage Fringe ep, only not, because it was very much S4 emotionally and situationally. I loved the show doing callbacks to itself. This week, I need to watch it again but I really enjoyed it and oh dear. OH DEAR. IS IT NEXT FRIDAY YET.
Having apparently infected a number of people around me with Fringe squee and now they're watching it too *cackles with glee* I feel it's high time I squeed over Nikita. Which keeps getting better and better--season 2's intricate game keeps ratcheting upwards and the characters and emotional dynamics are all gripping. It's a character-driven plot-heavy spy thriller show. The characters are all smart, strong, competent, badass, flawed, and layered, especially the women, who tend to drive the story. The ratings are tiny. WHY ARE THE RATINGS TINY, IT IS SO GOOD.
Supernatural: I really enjoyed this week's ep. A lot. I watched it twice. It's not the only S7 ep I've enjoyed but the track record has been extremely spotty (understatement) for me this season.

I've been intaking a ridiculous amount of media and enjoying it all immensely. Even Supernatural managed recently to avoid making me want to throw a shoe at my tv screen. With SPN, I live in the moment, and cannot vouch for how I will feel later. But it's been nice feeling connected with it again and having some good flaily moments.
Stuff I'm enjoying lately: Sherlock BBC (series 2 has pushed me right over into fangirling the BBC series hard. This needs further investigation. For science!), Once Upon a Time, The Good Wife, Chuck, Revenge, The Secret Circle (this show is exceptional in how it shows its female friendships, I am really liking it), Sanctuary (I am still in season 3), Hawaii Five-0, Nikita, and Fringe. I'm sure I've forgotten something. Oh, and I've seen season one of Community and went ♥♥♥ I enjoyed the premiere of Alcatraz and saw the free itunes download of Smash which was a lot of fun.
Speaking of Fringe, SO AMAZINGLY GOOD, and made me cry. The cast keeps outdoing themselves and it continues to be a beautiful, at moments horrific, and visually startling show. Here is a video of JJ Abrams talking about why he loves his own show. Word, JJ. We understand you.

Fringe, sooo good. So good. And continues to surprise me. Also Doctor Who continues to be adorably awesome and creepy and heartbreaking and fun all at the same time.
Am reading Game of Thrones staying ahead of the TV series, and am loving the books and the TV series. Jon Snow and Arya Stark are my favorites. ♥ (no spoilers in the comments please, I think my reading is ahead of episode 3, but I haven't had a chance to watch episode 3 yet). The opening credits are astonishly beautiful.
