Do you want a letter?
Sep. 15th, 2017 09:16 pmTell me you want to receive a letter by leaving a snail mail address below. (Comments are screened, of course!) If you don't mind, also mention something you like about getting letters. Do you love decorative stationary? Want a stamp with an animal on it? Or concerning content--tidbits about daily life, a favourite poem, an explanation of a German thing that always puzzled you? A nonsensical drawing?
Brought to you by Lotsa Spare Time and also I Bought Three Different Colours Of Ink That Languish In My Stationary Drawer, Together With Said Stationary.

Sep. 7th, 2017 06:38 pmI'll most likely have internet access installed on Sep 21st. Wish me luck.
Anyone up for another Book Exchange Fair? If there's interest then I'd love to host one at the end of September/the beginning of October. I'm itching for sending/receiving books.

Jan. 31st, 2017 12:48 pm• I exist (yay)
• I don't have much time for anything lately
• there was another water damage in our new flat, my old landlord is a cheating greedy lying piece of shit, i hurt myself several times in the last two months including an eye injury and part of a molar breaking off
• but things are looking up i guess. new shiny kitchen, for example (no more washing dishes in the shower!), i registered for a library card, the tooth is fixed, there are two farmer's markets on weekends that I can reach on foot or by public transport... i'm grateful for the nice things
• oh and I have a P.O. box now, address is on my profile. (the post office is practically across the street, nice)
• ok i just wanted to say hi and that i'm not doing so bad
• tell me how you're doing in the comments? or PM me.
• I'll see you around ♥

Nov. 27th, 2016 10:50 am• My knee's fine now. The MRT showed I did have an inflammation, but the medication took care of that. The rest is completely normal degradation due to age, which I am not okay with, because I did not give my body permission to degrade and it's doing it anyway. I got different meds for the cartilage and the swelling is completely gone. It's amazing to be able to walk pain-free again. To cancel out the good news, I got a nasty cold. Yay.
• I had the wardrobe and bedframe put up in the new flat, the mattress is coming next week. I still feel like I have way too much crap in the old flat, especially books. Most of the shelves aren't even emptied yet. I hope I can get it done in time, I have two weeks until my friend shows up with a large van to transport the large furniture. I took some days off this week but couldn't get much done because I felt so sick, and because one appointment had to be moved to December.
• I signed up for LibraryThing's Secret Santa (called "SantaThing") where you pay between $1 and $50 and get matched with someone else to pick out books for them. I haven't treated myself to anything in a while and forbidden myself to buy new books because of the move, but I just couldn't take it anymore.
♥ How are you doing? What's going on in your life? ♥

Nov. 11th, 2016 08:30 pmI'm quite beside myself due to the move-related stress and I have trouble with my right knee on top of that and feel like shit for having forgotten my therapy appointment (which would have been three days ago actually, waah) and politics are just unreal right now and contributing to the other shit and aagghh why.
I love you, though. I just wanted to say that. You're great and I'm glad to have you. I'll try to be there for you in the ways I can. Please know that your existence makes the world a better place.

Jul. 10th, 2016 06:49 pm♣ After years of absence I made a tumblog #peak midlife crisis
If you're interested in vampires, goth stuff, World of Darkness inspiration, and music embeds, gothmuppet would like to be your friend. I have overwrought tags pages too!
♣ Vacation was mostly uninspired, due to my still lingering cold and general tiredness and completely messed-up sleep schedule. Thinking of having to go back to work tomorrow and all I can do is sigh deeply. (I did have a great weekend in Bremen, though.)
♣ I'm not in a good mood, to be honest. Everything is just... too heavy. The best I can say is that I managed to clean the toilet anyway. *slumps forward onto table*

Mar. 30th, 2016 09:59 pmFinally updated my profile and added a snail mail address (I did rent a P.O. box a few months ago), so if you want to write me a letter or something, you can do so now.
Ugh, this week is so packed. Resumé-writing yesterday, my first attendance at a feminist workgroup meeting today (it was awesome!), tomorrow going out for dinner with the person I have a bit of a crush on. Not to mention I have to work overtime at my office and had a mean headache since yesterday afternoon but for reasons unclear to me it is gone now. Nothing planned for Friday yet (good!).
What movies have you seen recently? Any recommendations? Anti-recommendations?

Next Month's Music Rec-O-Ramas
Feb. 26th, 2016 01:01 pmInitially, February was supposed to be a month of themed recs - mixes free for download. Unfortunately, most of them were on Soundcloud, which right then switched to a model where an account is now required to download anything. This threw me so much that February stayed music-less. March, however, will be a themed month full of nostalgia: I'm going to post about my techno days in the late 90s. It was a restrained affair: no parades, no clubbing, just a guy taping BFBS radio in his attic room. See ya next Thursday!
