And now all I need is a bit of LUCK.
I just finished a 1 hour and 15 minute job interview for a Department Supervisor's position with my company.
It would mean more money into my family's pocketbook, an advancement to the next level of management within my company, and mean that I would be managing three persons of my current level with about 30 people under them.
I think that the interview went really well; and depending upon how my 2006 attendance (scheduled sick time for paternity leave, medication changes, etc...) is factored in, I'm in the running as the most likely candidate for this job.
Now that the interview is over, I'm no longer feeling nervous, but still a bit anxious to find out whether or not I will be getting the job. I do know that over 20 people have applied to the position, and that I'm one of 4 candidates being considered and interviewed.
