HEY GUYS!
So I just joined, woohoo!

lessee... been a fan of Diana's for a while, since American Idol. *totally voted for her!* One of my dreams for the longest time was to hear her sing live. It was beyond my wildest dreams that I would get to see her sing FRONT ROW.

For my birthday, my sister hosted me @ her dorm for 4 days (@ NYU). The first night, we went to a concert @ a Jazz club, which was amazing. The second night, we decided to hit Times Square. I really wanted to see Hairpsray for a really long time, and Diana was just an added bonus. So we figured we'd try the lotto, since we'd won evey other won we'd tried. They called out all the names but ours. But then there were 6 tickets that weren't used, so they had a "just in case" pile, in case people only needed 1 ticket, etc. So they drew the names out of that, and my sister's was the first called. So we got to see the show front row! YAY! Our seats were right in front of where Diana starts for Mama I'm a Big Girl Now.

That girl STOLE THE SHOW! I didn't know whether to look @ her or the rest of the cast! I had a blast and, as tradition states for my sister and I, we had to, and I mean HAD to, go to the stage door.

So we go and have a ball. And I met Diana. I have tickets for when Brooklyn comes to Hartford, and I told her that, and I got a photo with her, which I ADORE!

So that's my "OMG I MET DIANA DEGARMO" moment there.

I have a question now.

I saw a clip of Diana singing Don't Cry Out Loud on American Idol. Now, my question is this: What was the theme that week? Was it songs from the 70's? Was it general favorites? Or, what I'm hoping for, was it songs written by Peter Allen? He's one of my favorite songwriters, and I think I might have missed that week of American Idol. If anyone can just tell me, that would be great.

Diana makes her Broadway debut as Penny Pingleton in Hairspray. Her run will be February - May. Story here.

This community is so dead. Nobody's posting well i wanted to post to see if anyone knew what diana was up to cause i haven't heard any news on her lately. I'm just curious and i read the last post and was wondering as well why she switched labels to a booking agency instead of staying with the label she was with before?

Just some news you may not have heard:

As of June 1st, RCA released Diana from her contract as per her request. However, she has said that she's working on a second album, so perhaps she's already got a new deal in the works!

Diana signed with a new Talent Agency, ICM (International Creative Management) INC. They appear to be a booking agency.

June 23rd - 25th - Wrigley's Greenup Campaign concert for Keep America Beautiful (Waller, TX)

July 1st - Canyon Dinner Theater
July 2nd - Alameda County Fair
July 9th - Blue Bayou, Baton Rouge, LA with Latoya London & John Stevens
July 16th - Greensboro Civitan Club (may be a Private Event)
July 23rd - Jackson County Oregon Fair
July 31st - North Georgia Children Expo (may be a Private Event)

Sept. 3rd & 4th - US Tennis Open
Sept. 10th - Concert for Warner Brothers (Venue & Details TBA Possibly at Six Flags in Atlanta, GA)
Sept. 17th - GA Music Hall of Fame Awards

Oct. 12th - Hilton Skating & Gymnastics Spectacular

Hey I always meant to post in this community.

When I was little I use to live in Snellville, GA. Then I moved to Michigan when I was like 10.

I lived next door to Diana and her family for 10 years and my mom is really good friends with Brenda (Diana's mom).

My family went to Florida for my winter break, 2 years ago, and we usually stop by and visit her family. And when we did, Diana wasn't there and her mom said she was trying out for American Idol. So I was like "aww thats soo cool."

Week by week, when she was still in the final shows, I was in shock she was doing so well, and I couldn't believe it.

NOW look where she is at! I am really proud of her, and I might visit them in the summer.

And I will try to keep you all updated on Diana and what she is up to.

Hey I just joined this community and I so I just wanted to give some basic info about me. My name is Katie and I'm 15 years old from Pittsburgh, PA. I love all sports especially golf, baseball, and I'm obsessed with nascar. I love country music and Diana's music of course. Her CD is like the greatest ever made, i love it!

So...I saw Diana Today. And I must say that she looks really great. She lost a lot of weight since American Idol. btw...I think that the new season of American Idol is terrible!
