Rules: How many letters of the alphabet have you used for [starting] a fic title? One fic per line, 'A' and 'The' do not count for 'a' and 't'. Post your score out of 26 at the end, along with your total fic count.
I've been loving reading other people's answers, and I thought I'd try my hand at it. Now, I once wrote a 26-part A-Z drabble series with titles like "A Is for Apple" and "B Is for Bare", but I'm skipping those in the interests of a challenge. I also tried to find a different fandom for each letter.
A — Any Old Time (We Only Kill Each Other, Jonas Kaminsky/Levi Solomon)
B — Blood-Red in Paris (Forever Knight x Murdoch Mysteries, Janette DuCharme/Julia Ogden)
C — Collision (Ristorante Paradiso, Gigi Orsini/Lorenzo Orsini)
D — Dipped (Kaptara, Keith Kanga/Manton)
E — Every Hard-Earned Day (Gravity Falls, Stanford Pines/Stanley Pines)
F — Fearless (The Magnificent Seven, Josiah Sanchez/Ezra Standish)
G — Good Fortune, No Onions (Lost Lad London, Al Adley/Lenny Ellis)
H — Harmonious Brushwork (Avatar: The Last Airbender, Jeong Jeong/Piandao)
I — In the Closet (Tintin, Archibald Haddock/Tintin)
J — Just the Words (Harry Potter, Alastor Moody/Kingsley Shacklebolt)
K — King Stag and Torchlight (The Hobbit, Balin/Dwalin/Thorin)
L — La La La Lies (Reservoir Dogs, Mr. Orange/Mr. White)
M — Much of Madness, More of Sin (Arkham Horror, Michael McGlen/Tommy Muldoon/Skids O'Toole)
N — Night Watch (Warhammer 40k, Wystan Frauka & Zael Efferneti)
O — One-Two Punch (Unbeatable, Lin Si-Qi/Ching Fai)
P — Passenger (Lackadaisy, Mordecai Heller/Viktor Vasko)
Q — The Quality of Mercy (The Old Guard, Booker & Joe & Nicky)
R — Red (Guardians of the Galaxy, Kraglin Obfonteri/Yondu Udonta)
S — Signs of Life (Our Flag Means Death, Archie/Fang/Frenchie/Izzy Hands/Jim Jimenez)
T — Through His Teeth (Dr. Christian, Paul Christian & Nikki)
U — U.S. Tour (X-Men Movieverse, John Allerdyce/Erik Lensherr/Mystique)
V — The Voice Inside Your Head (Batman Nolanverse, Jim Gordon/Bruce Wayne)
W — White as Snow, Red as Blood (Team Fortress 2, Heavy/Medic)
X — none
Y — Youthful Indiscretions (Discworld, Rufus Drumknott + Havelock Vetinari)
Z — none
24/26 - and now I know I need to fill that X and Z gap!

Date: 2025-10-28 05:14 pm (UTC)And ha, sorry, I phrased that second list confusingly. I do technically have a fic for those, which are part of the A-Z drabble series I mentioned up top. But because they just started with the letter itself as opposed to a word starting with the letter - "X Is for Xenophile" and "Z Is for Zephyr" - I counted them for my total fic numbers but didn't put them in the running for the meme proper.

Date: 2025-10-28 10:02 am (UTC)I love about these lists that they often offer a neat glimpse at a writer's repertoire-- oooh, Reservoir Dogs, definitely checking that one out! :3

Date: 2025-10-30 12:41 am (UTC)S = 76 How many fics start with each letter is an intriguing addition. S is your most popular letter by such a big margin!

Date: 2025-11-02 06:34 pm (UTC)I was curious, so I looked up some stats on relative frequency of first letters in English words. 'S' isn't quite as over-represented in the dictionary as in my list, but it's still at the top by a comfortable distance. We just like esses in English, I guess!
