It began, like so many Hogwarts traditions before it, as a joke.

I wouldn't say that warm Christmas gen is my typical kind of fic, but if I'm going to write it, having a selection of Hogwarts staff hanging out doing crossword puzzles and math with some snacks and a little queer flirting sprinkled on top is probably how I'm going to do it.

This is the first of a thirteen-story series, so it's definitely the kind of thing I've spent a lot of time doing. I haven't written any Kettleburn/Snape outside of the series, but in a broader sense, "Snape falls into a low-key and unconventional romance with an older man" is like half of my portfolio.
