delphi: (josiah/ezra)
[personal profile] delphi
I actually wrote these quite a while ago, but I got too caught up in work and my HP Beholder fic and shamefully forgot about them.

In regards to the episode, let's just say words do not exist for how little I care about Vin and Charlotte and their terrible, terrible hair.

Title: Wagon Train pt. 1
Author: Delphi
Pairing: Josiah Sanchez/Ezra Standish
Rating: General
Word Count: 100
Summary: Ezra and Josiah both get swept up by Buck's bet.

There is something about Buck Wilmingon that makes a man feel the need to prove how red his blood is. In his presence, off-colour jokes and tall tales flourish, and puerile wagers are inescapable.

Ezra's never been ashamed of his own inclinations—discreet, yes, but never ashamed—and yet even he isn't immune to Buck's joie de vivre about the fairer sex.

He holds Josiah to a higher standard, of course.

“Be careful,” he says, when he sees the widow well and truly falling.

But Josiah only smiles and shrugs his shoulders like he really doesn't know how dangerous he is.

Title: Wagon Train pt. 2
Author: Delphi
Pairing: Josiah Sanchez/Ezra Standish
Rating: General
Word Count: 100
Summary: Josiah's lies come back to bite him.

Ezra beats him back to the church from the bath-house, and Josiah finds him sprawled on one of the pews, scrubbed pink and looking sinful.

He takes a moment to admire the view: Ezra's loosened collar, and the way his damp hair curls just a little, and the mischief in those green eyes. All in all too tempting to resist.

He leans in for a kiss only to be stopped by a hand on his chest. He blinks, and Ezra's eyes widen in innocence far too convincing to be real.

“Now, now, sir. What about your vow of abstinence?”
