About debvel: Computer programmer (and occasional web page designer) with an irrational fear of boredom. Reads everything in sight. Collects large amounts of shiny beads and occasionally turns them into objects of adornment. Usually found in front of a computer screen. Has a martini shaker and isn't afraid to use it. Owned by a tuxedo cat.

aka: "Tzigana" at The Sith Academy. (Why the different user names? [shrug] Seemed like a good idea at the time.)

Why I have a journal: I wanted to be able to keep track of all the journals I like to read, and getting a journal and a friends list seemed like the easiest way to do that. I'm lazy. Once I had it, it seemed silly to leave it empty. Now, over three years later, I can't imagine life without it.

LiveJournal behavior: I tend to lurk. I don't post every day. I usually add communities instead of individual journals, because sometimes the "friending thing" (see below) can get too weird. I post about fandom (occasionally) and my life (more often) and rant about whatever is bugging me (now and then). I've written fanfic, but only during blue moons. I make icons, and if someone says "that should be an icon" I'm usually willing to make it happen. I'm experimenting with vidding.

That LJ "friending thing": I consider it a "bookmark". I bookmark journals that I enjoy reading and have similar interests. I un-bookmark journals if our changing interests diverge too much. It's nothing personal.

I don't expect anyone to friend me back automatically, so please don't feel obligated. If you'd like to friend me, I'll be pleasantly surprised - you don't need to ask first. (It would be nice if you could drop a comment in one of my entries to say hello, but it's not a requirement.) If you need to un-friend me, that's okay too.

NOTE: As of Jan. 2007, most of my journal entries are friends-locked. (My family is getting too net-saavy.)

* Where in the world are my LJ Friends?

* The Sims mood theme is my own creation.

* Custom brushes used for icons were created by crumblingwalls, dtissagirl, miggy , or myself.
