well...HAI THERE GUYS. good to see you all are still rockin'!

"What," you may be asking, "is the reason for a post from Andi, whom we have not heard from at all since February?"

The answer is: I miss you guys! I miss fandom'ing it up and getting too invested in fictional things and caring much too much about which love interest Character A is making out with.

but reasons for my very abrupt and impolite disappearance have been very much preventing me from returning at all, which I've wanted to do for a while. For a very long time before I'd taken that hiatus, I was growing more and more discontent with everything about debacul. 2005 -- when this journal was created -- was a very long time ago; I've grown a lot since then and so has the way I interact with fandom.

So: I just made worthadime, my very own Fancy New LJ. I'm going to leave it up to you if you want to add that journal or not, as -- while I miss each and every one of you -- I totes understand if you don't follow me over there especially considering my recent absence. From this point, I'd consider debacul retired so you are all also welcome to defriend it.

I'm deleting my journal for a little while. Nothing's really wrong, it's more of a personal experiment.

Due to the combination of a bunch of shitty circumstances, we basically ran out of time to get a Christmas tree -- my mom gave a futile effort today, but they were all packed up. And seriously, if there is ONE THING I love about Christmas (& I love very many things about it), it is the presence of a Christmas tree in our living room. My very favorite thing about winter break is curling up with a book on my massive couch, with all the lights off except the Christmas tree lights and a single lamp, reading into the wee hours of the morning; it's freaking magical. So the apparent lack of tree greatly distressed me.

Well, GOOD NEWS is that we thought of a beautiful alternative, and that alternative is just as triangle-shaped and bright as the original, though it does not smell quite as good.

In the absence of a tree, we decorated a Christmas ladder.

The new challenge this month at picspammy is season premieres/season finales, and this led me to conclude that, frankly, there AIN'T NO FINALE LIKE AN AVATAR FINALE. Well, in celebration of the supremacy of our wonderful cartoon, I hope to picspam all three season finales of Avatar this month because...I love them! MORE THAN IS PROBABLY HEALTHY. but, for now, I am starting at the end.

apparently this meme is fun!

I have been exceptionally boring lately, but my fandom life (if this even this counts?) has consisted mainly of apparently attempting to watch every video on Youtube involving Alicia Sacramone, Nastia Liukin, Chellsie Memmel, Bridget Sloan, et al. (It is so sad that as my everyone on flist posts their fall TV schedules, I realize that I am only planning on watching The Office and Lost, and Gossip Girl in a very uninvested way. uh.)

but I feel like I have to add to what will probably be the three thousand posts about the closing of RENT that will appear on your flist.
