Meltdown on Amazon
I write as a hobby. Most of my friends list know that. Don't particularly see myself submitting to publish at any point in the future. I just like writing. However, if I ever do get published, and if I ever do something like this, just take my computer away. I'll refund any airfare costs accrued if you take my keyboard away from me in time to save my reputation. That's a promise.
Also, it just seems to me that blaming your editor for everything that's wrong with your novel and saying that you have no creative control over editing is a little worrying. I've followed several authors' blogs and it seems from an outsider view that it's a give and take process. A conversation pointing out flaws that aren't immediately obvious to the author. After all, you know what you're trying to say, but you may have skipped over something that is the actual explanation for the scene.
The whole thing is worse than Laurell K Hamilton's 'Dear Negative Reader' blog post and she comes off sounding like a complete nutcase. Watch out for the end of it and the Federal Cyber Crime case that's got her collecting all the comments and sending them to the FBI. 'Cause damn, everyone's under the jurisdiction of the good ol' U S of A.
Have a read for yourself, it's a cracker: www.amazon.com/review/R1BA0D6J2GS5…
