Cavalier

The Cavalier is a swashbuckling super-villain and enemy to Batman in Gotham City. Despite his criminal tendencies, he purports to be a man of gallantry and honor. Mortimer Drake is a confirmed homosexual, having been in a closeted relationship with fellow villain Captain Stingaree. He has been a member of the Secret Society of Super-Villains.

His brief successor was Hudson Pyle, a stuntman-turned vigilante.

Cavalier was created by Don C. Cameron and Bob Kane, first appearing in Detective Comics #81. (1943)
