Newbie

Hello! We just moved to Huntsville from Atlanta. I've lived in big cities my entire live, so moving to the small town has me a little off-kilter. What kinds of things are there to do here? We used to do theater stuff, I'm a musician, we have do have kids, but I'm really trying to find a more alt-scene. I'm a little terrified that there's not much like that here. Any suggestions on where to go to see local happenings? There was Creative Loafing and a bunch of other local circulars in Atlanta to give people a go-to guide for that kind of thing. Is there a similar thing like that here? I'm not even sure what to ask, really. Is there local theater, other than ChittyChittyBangBang? Are there groups and such that don't involve a religious aspect? Any info would be helpful!

Welcome to darkhuntsville.

Assuming anyone joins this community, the hope is that people will use this spot
to announce anything of interest to the dark minded side of huntsville.

And by dark side, I'm hoping that this group will do more than talk about shitty places to sway back and forth, smoke a cigarette and bitch about how deep their souls are.

I'm hoping to see some real good callousness, some whole hearted sarcasm, and general dark humor at its best.
