For mums birthday in September. Dads already given her his present, which happens to be a framing saw, so I'm expecting her to get into fantastic frame making. I have never quite understood my mums new obsession with watching road cycling, but she absolutely loves it and has followed the latest Tours and Giros with admirable zeal. I hope she'll like efforts. It was a bit of a pain...full of blended threads and hundreds of fractional stitches. I'm not happy with the black handle bars of the far right bike, it's messy, but that was the week following my head injury and my eyes weren't focusing. I should have left it but I feel naked without my needle and got straight back into the stitching after coming round. I don't remember that well but I have vague recollections of wandering about on the CMA ward asking random nurses if I could borrow a small pair of disposable surgical scissors for my threads. No wonder they couldn't wait to get rid of me.
Not quite sure what to start next. I need to finish off the catnip sachets I'm making for Tolly, Misty and Socks. I may make one for Nero if I'm feeling generous, but he's bitten me a bit to much and with no finer feelings cares little for catnip anyway. He has issues but he tries hard.
