Movie theatre manager here, from an arthouse cinema.
Halloween is our annual Rocky Horror Picture Show presentation - my first time doing it. And oh yes, we do the whole nine yards: rice, newspapers, lighters, cards, water pistols, dancing on stage...anything goes! And most of it's in good fun; in fact after this weekend I had a genuine appreciation for the fun that goes into the program, and the love the audience has for the movie.
But our Saturday night show started off on the wrong foot entirely.
I'm used to hearing the phrase "Problem in the washroom". Normally it means someone tried to flush too much down the toilet, or there's a lot of water on the floor, or someone's drunk and retching everywhere. You know, normal stuff.
I started letting in my lineup at 11:15. By 11:30, a woman had defecated all over the bathroom floor. There was less than 50 people admitted in, and still another 400 people to go!
And I can sympathize if you're sick, or stressed, and have diarrhea. But there is no excuse for the "healthy logs" left all over the floor. That is NOT acceptable. And I can't close this bathroom down, because I only have the two (three stalls in the men's, and three in the women's). So yes, we had to start the night cleaning up crap.
Is this a prank? Are they developmentally disabled?? PLEASE tell me this isn't because of some messed up drunken behaviour, or God forbid, laziness.
I will admit that, by comparison, the rest of the night was a breeze.
