Hey! So I got accepted into the theatre dept. at CSF in July for the Fall of 07 (I know, I got on the college bandwagon REALLY early). I have my scholarship audition this Friday (Aug.4), and I'm pretty nervous.. Any general advice on the school, or anyone in the department? Any information would be VERY welcome.

Hey everybody
it doesnt seem like many people use this page but its my only source of communicating to fellow csf'ers so im going to through you guys another question. Actually its more of a request. Im figuring out housing plans next year and since I'm coming in as a new student I have no idea what the differences in dormatories are. So I'm having a hard time which to put down as my first choice and all.
Can someone help me out and scope me in on what each dormitory is all about.
any help is much appreciated
Hey,
My name is Jack and I was accepted a little while ago to CSF as a contemporary music student along with a nice music scholarship which has obiously added to my intrest in the school. My visit to the school was real positive and overal I got a real good feeling for the people, atmosphere, ect...Though, although the college has really become one of my top finalists in this crazy process I still have some general questions. Any insight will be of great help!
1. I guess I was just wondering first off, how the music students in the school felt about the department overal. It seems really suiting for me since I play drums and I am into rock and latin primarily. But, are the professors really helpful? It doesnt seem like the school places much emphasis on private lessons being only one credit or so. That doesnt bother me too much but I was concerned about the individual guidance you get. In general, it seems like a real cool program though and so I was more just curious as to what peoples experience with it has been like.
2. Secondly, I dont know much about the social life of the school other than it being pretty laid back. Im not a big partier myself, but I was wondering if they exist and what a typical weekend is like. Im from New York so If I do make the move to Santa Fe im going to wonder what the scene is like on campus. The southwest is pretty foriegn to me.
Um, I cant really think of any other questions at the moment but I know Im going to have more in the future. All of this has been real exciting and any advice I cant get is much appreciated. Thanks!
