Intro and information...

Hi! My name is Stephanie and I have been a Chiropractic Assistant for over 25 years. Way back in 1999 I started an email list on Yahoo Groups specifically for CAs. I was wondering if anyone here may be a CA or has friends or family members who are CAs and would be interested in joining our group.

It is the original and largest forum created primarily for Chiropractic Assistants. Over the years our list has become THE place for information on billing, coding, practice growth and management, and patient education.

This forum is designed by CA's for CA's to discuss professional issues, debate problems that arise, share experiences, ask questions, and exchange ideas. It is also a place to meet and learn from others in the field.

All CAs are welcome to join, as well as others employed in the Chiropractic field. In addition to Chiropractic Assistants, our members include Doctors of Chiropractic, massage therapists, professional billers, chiropractic consultants, and leaders in the field of Chiropractic. Collectively, our five moderators alone have over 100 years of experience in the chiropractic field, with contacts and information directly from the ACA as well as CMS (not to mention the years of experience and knowledge that comes from all our list members!). We go to great lengths to make sure the information you get here is 100% ACCURATE and UP-TO-DATE.

This list was created to be a warm, welcoming, friendly gathering of Chiropractic Assistants and others in the Chiropractic field. We talk shop a lot - and we get a lot of problems solved and a lot of questions answered. However, if you are looking for a list that is all business, this may not be the place for you. We do verge off-topic from time to time - this is allowed and encouraged. We know many CAs work in small offices and we designed the list to act as a 'break-room' of sorts as well as an informational site.

We hope to see you on the CA list!

Community Healing Arts & the Circle of Life

I am working to open a family healing arts center in my community to provide a spectrum of care for infants to adults, including midwifery, craniosacral therapy, chiropractic, parent groups, childbirth ed, and workshops. My passion is craniosacral, doula care, teaching, and community organizing.

This will happen within the next year, and I am currently gathering resources, developing my business plan, and working with local community small business resources to create a solid plan and support system. I also have practitioners interested and a space lined up for 2009.

I am also a hoopdancer and teacher, and I am in a contest to win $10,000 for my hoopdance video: Gemini Hoops. http://www.clipstar.com/videopage.…

Will you please vote for my video and help to fund the creation of my healing arts center? I am currently in 2nd place, and if I win this contest, it will go toward to creation of my family healing arts center and community healing project.

Thank you! I greatly appreciate your support! Your vote counts, please show your support!

Questions!

Hello! I know that this community does not get updated often, but I am hoping that someone will respond to my queries!

I'm currently a 3rd year Psychology, A.B. major at UC Davis and I was planning on applying to Life West & Palmer. Is it quite difficult getting accepted into the schools? What exactly do they look for in the application process? Do you know what school may offer better programs for a graduate student? How long does it take to get a D.C. and how much is the average starting salary?

Thank you so much!

Hi everybody
I'm a 18 year old girl from the Netherlands and i want to start a chiropractic education in the United States in the fall of 2007. The coming year will be my final year of highschool in the Netherlands.
I would like to know which chiropractic colleges are the best ones, and why. I've allready looked at a few colleges online, like the Life West college in CA and the Southern California University of Health Sciences. I would like to go to college in CA, but anywhere else is fine too, I'd just like to get in the best college possible. What colleges/universities do you reccomend? And what should i look for in a good school?
Thanks for your help,
Muriel
