I called for Lenny kravitz tickets, I knew since yesterday that Cher would come to Rotterdam but I checked at the website of ticketservice and she was sold out. Well, I thought: while I'm calling for lenny, I might as well ask if she's really sold out, so I did. There were still tickets left, a few. So I'm gonna see her farewell tour! All the times I was bitching because she didn't come to the netherlands... but she is! and I'm gonna see her. I'm so glad...

I was wondering, how did each one of you become such a fan of Cher?

When I was about 11 years old I loved to watch the X-files. There was one episode I absolutely adored, it was about some sort of creature who was an absolute Cher-fan and you heard Cher music all over the episode. I liked that music, though I didn't really knew Cher at that time. Two years later, -I guess- Cher's new song Believe hit the charts and I so loved it! I bought her new album immediately and remembered this X-files episode. I searched all over to Cher CD's, and I loved them all! My favourite CD is the one where she holds a snake on the cover, man't world.

I've been trying to think of stuff to get this community going..


So here's a little question, maybe get some stories told.. I just LOVE Cher and have alot of energy for her. I'm new here to LJ and was happy to find this.

Why is it that all these television shows always have two of the main characters dress up as Sonny & Cher and sing "I got you babe". Like when did this become the thing to do? Does every tv show mention Cher at least once during their run?
