Gomen ne about that. As of late my teachers had been hitting me with all sorts of tests, and on top of that finals are coming up. I could not concentrate on writing posts and I had no real time to read up on all the others. But, if you are all willing to have me still, I would like to regain my role as Battousai in the RPG.

Leaving...

I am very sorry everyone, but I am leaving the RPG. I cannot seem to get into the character of Battousai like I used to, and for that my posts have become flawed. I apologize to you all for leaving you hanging, but I have left Battousai's ID and password open for anyone who wants to use it until you can find a replacement. In addition, I have also left Kaoru-dono and Tomoe as the moderators for this community. I am sorry to you all, and I hope this does not inconvenience the RPG much.

Makimachi Misao App.

I am also Saitou for a note. I decided to sign up for one more character so I have one to use when the other is occupied.

It was in the late evening and the sky was dropping into darkness, sparkles of star spread around the endless void of shadows. The peace did not last for very long as the wind began to pick up, dark clouds were rolling in, and the smell of on-coming rain was heavy within in the city of Kyoto. It wasn’t long before thunder echoed within in the background; lightning seemed to snaked out from it’s hiding and appeared to burst open the clouds causing a shower of rain.

Everyone but two people were huddled inside their homes to hide from the rain: Makimachi Misao and Shinomori Aoshi. The young woman stood on the porch of the Aoi-Ya, her home. The Shinobi’s appearance was much different, more feminine and womanly. On the streets she constantly dressed in her fighting gi and patrolled the streets to make sure everything was safe. But now that she was home and readying for bed she had the time to relax. Her yukatta was light blue on dark blue, giving the look that she carried a waterfall on her shoulders. Her dark black hair, usually tied back in braids, was allowed to cascade down to her slender hips.

“Aoshi…”

Misao’s eyes were locked on her Leader with admiration. He was still in the Shrine near by, meditating. Biting her bottom lip she hesitated, very unlike her, before walking out into the rain. The bottom of her yukatta dragged against the ground, mud splattering it. She shielded a warm cup of tea with the sleeves of her sleeping kimono as the rain water began soaking into the fabric. Her clothing felt increasingly heavy and the material rubbed roughly against her ivory skin. It didn’t matter. Her body was already roughened from her fighting.

When she reached the Shrine she frowned a little that Aoshi paid no notice to her, despite the fact he knew she was there. Kneeling down in front of the young man she softly placed the cup of steaming team, untouched by the weather, in front of her Leader.

“I thought you might want something to keep you warm…” He didn’t respond. “If you’d like I could get you something else if you’d like. Or…” He still made no move to talk. Sighing she stood up from the ground and turned her back to him, glancing at his figure from the corner of her eye. He was drinking the tea and he made a small noise in way of thanks. A smile lightly tugged at the corner of her lips. At least he was drinking it.

Upon leaving the Shrine and heading back towards to Aoi-Ya she softly began singing to herself, swimming in the melody. Half-way there she paused in the rain, tilted her head back, and starred at the rain with curiousity.

“Melting those frozen blue eyes
And wiping off the tears from this heart
Warm tears
Melt the ice harvest rain”

Konnichi wa minna-san...I do hope everyone who has joined this RPG is still a active member. It's understandable that one might be busy, for I know that all too well. Like Kenshin-san did, it would be a great help if you were to mention your absence.

I recently was contacted by Yahiko-kun and we decided that we would try to continue on the RP in a different section until Kenshin-san was able to post. Hopefully, in time, this RP will be back on it's feet again.

Hajime Saitou Application

“Here they are, sir. Just as you asked for.” The lower-ranked officer quietly stepped into a room, his hands fiddling with a small package he had in hand. The Lieutenant did not look up from the paper work he was going through but merely outstretched his gloved hand. But the man, with good reason to be, was afraid of the Lieutenant and did not approach farther then he had already. When the unknown parcel was still not laid within the man’s callused palm, he finally glanced up with a clearly irritated stare. The man jumped back at the Lieutenant’s eyes with even more fear then he had before, if that was even possible. The man quickly set the package on the ground, bowed in a stiff and quick manner before rushing out the door.

Saitou Hajime, known to most people of the Meiji Era as Lieutenant Fujita Gorou, rose up from his wooden desk in neutral silence. The man had many aliases; so many that the men whom had hired him as a Sword Corp, with special privileges to carry a decent katana may I add, did not even realize they hired the former Shinsengumi Third Unit Captain. It suited Saitou just fine to work in the Government… It made it much easier for him to work his principles of ‘Aku Soku Zan’. In fact, during this job he had run back into his old rival and enemy: the Battousai. It didn’t take much more then a few swift movements of a blade to turn the large-eyed Rurouni back into the Hitokiri that laid inside the man’s heart.

With easy strides of his long legs he approached the package that rested, slightly crumpled from the officer’s nervous fiddling, on the hard wooden floor. The Mibu Wolf picked up the small brown bag and reached his gloved hand in, his fingers wrapping around a fairly well sized pack. Once having the item in his grasp he pulled it out to reveal nothing other then cigarettes. As he opened the pack his thoughts turned towards his young wife that waited back in Kyoto. He had left just days after Tokio had gone through her particular stage. If anything in this world could irritate him to no end, it was definitely when Tokio went through her motherhood mode; especially when he called him ‘Cute and Rebellious’. For the love of Amaterasu, Mibu Wolves’ were not cute!

“Maybe I should give her a real child to baby when I get home. But for now I need to stay in Tokyo.”

Something had called for him to come here, yet he was unsure of what it was. It was a Wolf’s instinct and it was always best to follow them. He could smell blood splattered in different areas of Tokyo… Blood that one could only find in the Bakumatsu days of Kyoto. And in the air there was a short lingering, but strong fragrance of White Plums…

Original Character Application

Name: Himura Usagia

Age: 17

Sex: Female

Appearance: Long black hair neatly pulled back into a high ponytail, two red bangs resting in front of her face; ivory pale skin that is has numerous scars and has crimson eyes; dressed usually in the Shinsengumi Uniform or a man's gi & hakama

Attitude: In battle she is ruthless and has become widely known as the "Fujin Oni", Female Demon. Off the field she is often calmer and seemingly carefree. The Shinsengumi call her, teasingly, "Chibi Ookami", Wolf Cub.

History: After the death of her parents she and her brother, Shinta, was sold into different slave groups. After defying and killing her masters at the age 12 she stumbled onto the Shinsengumi who took care of her. After a year of training and pleading the men allowed her into the Shinsengumi, despite the fact that she was a woman. She grew especially attached to her unit captain, Okita. Usagia discovered her brother was now known as Himura Kenshin and was alive as the Hitokiri Battousai. A burning hatred is fueled towards him violently because he had never sought her out, when he really thought she was thought dead. Usagia died in the last battle of the Bakumatsu in front of her brother. Makoto Shishio, the one man she feared, had decapitated her when she was caught off guard.

It was the middle of the last battle. Usagia was fighting at the side of the members of the Shinsengumi, her blade cutting through the bodies of many men. The peeling flesh and blood clung to her uniform and stained her raven black hair. The smell rose up the urge to make her vomit but she did not have time to be sick. This was war and even a moment of distraction could mean her death. The sky was painted with the blood that rained down onto the ground and the Earth was being burned alive by flames of Hades. Mountains of corpses were stacked as high as the eye could see. Usagia had put the reason of war in a simple statement: “Our enemies are just like us. Fighting for their beliefs. But what they believe is right isn’t what we believe is right… so we kill them. It sounds a lot more twisted when you it out loud doesn’t it?”

Usagia's breath was short and heavy; her mind was beginning to feel light from the lack of oxygen entering her body. And if by fate would have it her crimson eyes locked with those of the 3rd Unit Captain, Hajime Saitou. The man was quite a bit older then her and was her father figure. He was strict when he trained with her and acknowledged when she had done well. Seeing him nudge his head to the scene behind her she slowly turned around only to be met with Makoto Shishio's katana. SLASH!

She gasped wildly and placed her hands against her throat, her world seeming to spin all around her. After a moment the pain that had began to prick into her neck had faded only to have an odd sensation replace it. With hesitation the Fujin Oni slowly looked up to find herself standing in the streets of a large city, but it was not Kyoto. This city seemed too happy to be claimed as Kyoto. The smell of sakura blossoms drifted through the air, not the smell of blood. There weren't any corpses or blood. The only sign of pain that Usagia could connect was that of a young boy who had scrapped his knee against the pebbled ground. The people around her were staring at Usagia with a mixture of fright and shock. Their eyes rested on her blood stained clothing, her equally dirty katana, and most of all the kanji that was printed on her bandana and back: MAKOTO. Makoto was the sign of the Shinsengumi.

"Where am I?"

"You're in Tokyo. It’s Meiji… um…" Squeaked up a rather curious child who was soon shushed by her mother.

"Tokyo? Meiji?” The two names felt foreign as the rolled off her tongue. But then it struck her Tokyo was going to be the name they were considering renaming Edo. And Meiji must be a different era of time. No matter how ridiculous it sounded that’s what came to mind. The people of Tokyo had but one question on there mind though.

“Who are you?” barked an hidden man from the crowd.

Usagia could not resisting stating her name. She needed to… almost as if convincing that this was real- that she was real. “Toshizou Himura Usagia; Fujin Oni no Shinsengumi.”

Okita Souji Application

The crimson mood that night was shinning brightly, it was a night when it happened, when he was transported to another era. The prodigy had just returned from a mission with his squad, while the Shinsengumi headquarters were quiet and peaceful, even in a building with suck commotion and noise of intense training could even be heard. There was something different about that night though. Whenever someone passed Okita’s room, coughing could be heard, but this time no sound came from inside the room. The prodigy had been laying down on his futon, almost half asleep. One minute, he had opened his eyes and was still in his room, he had then closed them after that…but when he had re opened his eyes, he noticed something strange.

The young boy’s eyes widen as he sat up. He looked around slightly and noticed he wasn’t in his room no more. “Where…am I?” he asked himself as he stood up from the futon and walked to the closest window. He opened the window and looked around. The moon wasn’t crimson…the night was pleasant. The smell of blood wasn’t in the air, it seemed like a dream. He wondered if he was still in Kyoto, in the Bakumatsu, it didn’t seem that way though. He turned around and grabbed his swords and walked out of the room he was in. The place where he had awoken seemed like an inn, but not like any inn in Kyoto.

As he walked down the stars to the lobby of the inn, he encountered one of the workers. He grabbed her by the arm and looked at her. “Where am I!? “ he asked, seeming confused. “Y-you’re in Tokyo.” Said the girl. He blinked a couple of times. “Tokyo!?” he asked and then saw the girl nod fearfully. “Hai, Tokyo, once known as Edo.“ His eyes widen. “Edo…What era!?” he asked as he then she then whimpered. “M-meiji Era…”. “Ariagatou…” he said softly as he walked out of the in. “Edo…Meiji Era… I wonder how I got here.” he repeated as wandered the place.
