Gilderoy Lockhart strode into Madam Malkin’s. His book signing for Meandering with Memories was next month and new robes must be ordered for the occasion. He had skipped his breakfast to ensure he had a smashing figure for the publicity tour. The small box of sweets a fan had given him was incredibly tempting. The young man had seemed familiar and said his mother was a fan. He must have seen the fellow at a book signing. Well, since it was a gift…
He had eaten one of the chocolates when he realized in horror that the chocolate might stain his teeth. That wouldn’t do at all. He was still hungry and his eyes fell on a lolly in the box. That would do nicely. Besides nothing was more youthful then a lolly. He settled back to wait and ponder robe colors and style when a beautiful woman came in. He was sure he’d seen her before. She disappeared as she moved toward the clerk. When she started asking about pink robes, his mind finally recognized her. She was a Dutch model. She was frequently in Witch Weekly. He started at the footsteps heading his way. She was standing in front of him introducing herself and flirting?
He smiled and reached and took her hand. He smiled and kissed it. He let it go and closed his eyes to think of something charming. He had been working on learning Dutch for a book tour before his accident. He could hear her moving and when he opened his eyes, she was kneeling before him, saying “I shouldn’t be doing this…” “Orchideous”, He thrust the bouquet into her startled hands and when she licked her lips, he could no longer take it. He fell to his knees before her and crushed her to him, devouring her mouth. She disappeared from his grasp. Oh Merlin, he’d rushed her. Then his eyes found her again. She was wearing next to nothing leaning against the wall. Her voice was low and her eyes blazed. “Perhaps we should get together?” He banished his clothes and crossed the distance in only a few strides. Using every last bit he knew of Dutch, he shouted, “If we joined forces, we would go down in history”. He pinned her to the wall and ground himself into her.
It was a day that went down in history for so many reasons.
It was the day Gilderoy Lockhart was readmitted to St. Mungo’s for observation.
It was the day the former Undersecretary to the Minister of Magic was admitted to St. Mungo’s for splinching. She still had the bouquet in her now separate hand. Her interview with Witch Weekly on his kissing technique made it the best selling issue that year.
It was the day Weasley’s Wizarding Wheezes put warning labels on their Fantasy Fondant and Lusty Lollies stating that they shouldn’t be consumed together.
It was the day that went on to become the most viewed memory, due to when WWW introduced their Pocket Pensieves for Pranksters, Relive Your Greatest Pranks. It made sense with it being the promotional giveaway for anyone of age that purchased a PPP. Who wouldn’t want to see Gilderoy Lockhart kissing a robe sleeve, snogging Dolores Umbridge, and humping a mannequin against the wall in Madam Malkin’s to the amused horror of the customers?
This led to Gladys Grudgeon offering an exorbitant amount for the mannequin.
There was also rash of vandalisms as someone charmed every ad in Diagon Alley for Meandering with Memories to read Manhandling with Mannequins.
It was also later revealed by the head linguist for the Ministry that in his confused state Lockhart had mixed up some syllables and had instead stated: “If we raped ducks, we would go down in history”.
Upon release, Gilderoy disappeared from
