Greetings, dear watchers!

No, this isn't a new icon post, although I plan on posting on within a week, if not sooner. I mentioned a long time ago that I wanted to do a request post after hitting 1,500 watchers and while this isn't that either, hopefully it's the next best thing.

I've been feeling a little lackadaisical about Photoshop lately and I feel like I need a little kick. So, here's the stitch: spam me with caps (preferably of high quality) and images that you would like to see be made into icons. You can link me to as many as you like. I cannot guarantee that I'll use every single image, but the higher volume I get gives me a greater opportunity to pick and choose.

Before you link me to images, please make sure that I'm familiar with the source material/fandom. I tend to put a lot more effort into my icons if I'm working on something that I know. For instance, anything I post on my Tumblr is fair game. Also, while I don't mind if you choose other fandoms, I have a higher interest in images from the following at the moment: Doctor Who, Parks and Recreation, Downton Abbey, Harry Potter, Lost, Friday Night Lights, Pushing Daisies, The O.C., or Luther. Like I said, I don't object to other fandoms, but I've been more focused on these ones lately.

And while I'm at it, if there are any suggestions for future moodthemes you'd like to see, feel free to drop me a comment as well :)

EDIT [07/29/2011]: I was hoping to finish a lot sooner, but LJ's downtime really through a wrench in the works. As I will be away on vacation for the next ten days, a new post of icons will have to wait, but rest assured! I'm still working on some more of the requests you all left me and hopefully I can post them shortly after returning. 

Hello, watchers! I'm not here to post a new bunch of icons, but I do have a couple of things worth noting.

01. I'm currently taking icon requests relating to any Josh Schwartz-created television show (i.e. Chuck, The O.C., and Gossip Girl - or any castmember of said shows). I've been on a bit of a Chuck-high the past couple of weeks, so I'd love to see more of that variety, but the other two shows are welcome! I'd just like to keep it to these three fandoms for now, although I may open up general requests later. I'm going to try and get these out quicker than my last request post that I did, but, with the end of the semester upon me, I can't necessarily make any promises. However, I'm putting this up in case anyone wants to take advantage of my current obsession and my increased time spent in Photoshop! 

As usual with requests, you are allowed to give me as many caps/pictures as you wish, but please make sure they are medium to high quality. Low quality pictures are more difficult to work with. I cannot guarantee that I'll make an icon out of every single picture, but it does give me a larger pool to choose from and more room to play in. I'm not limiting the number of requests, but I will close it when I feel I have enough.

02. It's Monday and I've started a Chuck party post at my journal. If you're excited about tonight's episode, feel free and stop by to flail! Also, I've put up a link to my GIF folder that has over 350 GIFs/animations that I've made in the past few months. I'd love to see more people partipate in the party post!

It's been over a month since I last posted new icons for sharing, but unfortunately, this entry isn't for that purpose. I do, however, plan on posting new ones that I've accumulated since then after the start of the new year. I'm waiting until after the holidays settle down a bit. If you're curious to what I have been doing besides making icons and stressing out over college and family matters, my fic journal roadsidescene has been considerably active this month. If you are interested you can also check out things there in the meantime.

I just wanted to take this time out to wish all 800+ of you a very happy and safe holiday season! I'm amazed that so many people have friended this journal nearly three years after I created it and I'm very appreciative of those of you who take the time to comment (and those of you who do it regularly at that). I hope you all enjoy the holidays and look forward to a new year :)

Here's the bad news, folks. The harddrive of my MacBook recently had to be wiped clean due to a defective harddrive, so I lost not only my newest icons that I never got around to uploading or posting, but also Photoshop. I'm currently working on a way to get my hands on another copy of Photoshop that is compatible for Mac, but in the meantime, here are very select few icons that I did manage to recover due to the fact that I had them uploaded in my userpics. I sincerely apologize, but some things really are beyond my control. I hope you enjoy these none-the-less and I hope to get back up and running with new ones shortly. Since Photoshop is like an addiction for me I doubt it will take me so long.

Regarding two earlier posts of icons that were accidentally deleted, I'll be working to get those up later on this week. Sorry about that delay. I've just had a lot of things going on and school takes a higher precedence over icons.

Yes, this is calikalie here with yet another update. Sadly, I'm not here to bring icons this time around. As you all know from my last update, both my PC and my laptop crashed due to viral complications. At the moment, I'm currently posting from my parents' computer, which isn't exactly the same as it doesn't have the usage of Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. However, I recently learned that I may be recieving a brand-spanking new computer as a graduation present next week(yes, I am graduating from high school *cheers*). So, I just wanted to tell you all thanks for being so patient with me through this time :) I plan to be back up and running in no time.

ETA: Thanks to those of you who made such gorgeous fansigns for me for Icon Maker's Appreciation Day *hugs* Love you all lots <3

I suppose I better explain why I haven't posted any icons here in quite awhile. The truth is, I'm going through a lot of RL problems and my computer isn't behaving. My regular computer that I make icons on crashed a few weeks ago and I lost everything. I took it in to get it checked on, but there is still a possibility that a virus may have spread elsewhere besides the harddrive. I'm working really hard to get that up and running so I can go back to making icons.

As soon as I get  my computer back, I'll be back at work downloading every single font, gradient, and brush that I lost in the crash *sigh* Next time I'll know better to back up my files :(

 

*waves* First of all, it's about damn time that I created an icon journal. It's definitely been a long time coming. I finally got off my lazy ass and created one! Woot!

Anyway, this is the icon/graphic journal of me, calikalie . It is a closed membership community, meaning that only I am allowed to post here. However, you are allowed to friend the journal if you wish to know immediately whenever I update. I got sick of people friending my personal LiveJournal just for icon updates, so this is a nice alternative to that.

All of my previous icon entries will be archived here shortly along with icon resources, my awards, etc. I will be creating a post later for anyone who wants to be affiliates, so please do not do that here.

I do have a few rules about my icons/graphics, if you please.

R U L E S

1. Do not steal any of my icons/graphics or bandwidth
2. Please comment and credit if you are using any.
3. Please do not ask me about a certain effect and how to do them. I will create tutorials on my own time.
4. Textless icons are not bases. Meaning, do not alter or modify any of my graphics you see here.
5. Nominations for icons are very much welcome :) But please tell me!
