If he stopped, it would all crumble to dust. In his head, he knew that wasn't true.
Adama wouldn't have admitted to anyone that the ritual of shaving every day had become more than a nod to the military dress code - that he'd come to invest the act with a superstitious fervor. Because even though he knew that the survival of the fleet did not depend on a clean shave, he'd be damned if anyone was going to separate him from his razor.
He stared at his reflection in the mirror and wondered which simple acts held the others together.
I got a nudge about this comm recently (well, not so recently, but I haven't checked my account for a while, so...)
Here's a new challenge for anyone who feels like writing a little BSG drabble. It's an obvious choice, but I'm going with it anyway:
Challenge #13: Razor
The episode, the implement - whatever works.
I'll commit to posting a drabble in the next forty-five minutes, and then it's sleepy time.
Have fun!
I'm just going to dive in and see what happens:
This week's challenge is: Where do we go from here? "Here," being any damn place you want from the series so far, of course.
Please post your response by Saturday, July 7th.
Have fun! Spread the word! The world needs more drabbles.
I'd love to get this drabble comm active again. Well, more active than it ever was, really.
Is there still interest? I can commit to once a week topics, and I'll do some publicizing, but I just thought I'd do a quick check first.
Who's in? Anyone? Please leave a comment if you'd be writing or reading/commenting.
I've been away for a (long) while; it's good to be back. Here's a challenge for the hiatus doldrums:
Opposite Pair Drabbles - two word prompts, opposite in meaning. Do one drabble incorporating both concepts/words, or two drabbles, one for each concept/word. Have fun!
Prompt: fortune/misfortune (you don't have to use the actual words)
