Can anyone recommend a mobile hairdresser who works in south Birmingham? My locks desperately need attention, but a moped accident means I can't leave the house.
Thanks for any suggestions!
Worked well for me last time, so I'm just checking if anyone in this comm is looking for a flat/housemate or knows of someone who is.
I know about all the standard listing sites, but just in case, I'm 23, professional, non-smoker, woman, interested in local pubs, politics, good/bad tv, nice restaurants. Don't want to live with anyone who's uncomfortable with gayness, and am allergic to cats. Would like to share cooking on occasion, if that interests you. Short term/flexible tenancy is preferable.
I'd like to live in Harborne/Moseley/Kings Heath, and maybe Selly Oak.
I have two tickets, and I'm selling them at 20 quid each. If you want them, send me a message with yr mobile. You can buy just one, if you want.
I'd like to sing the praises of Ross and Sean at the Hot Shop, in Sutton Coldfield. We just had our boiler and gas pipes replaced, which is the kind of thing that makes me rock gently in the corner and try not to think about people IN MY TERRITORY and TOUCHING MY STUFF. They worked extremely hard and disrupted as little as possible - we'd turn around and one of them would've done some major job sneaky like a ninja. The whole business was a lot less traumatic than we expected, even when they found a gas leak (which British Gas MISSED completely). Gas leaks are the kind of thing that makes think "oh god we're all going to die everybody evacuate", but they were just totally matter-of-fact and got on with fixing it.
Also, two days was more like one-and-a-half days, and they cleaned up after themselves. Full marks.

Hellooo
Anyone know any decent and CHEAP hairdressers in central Birmingham? Need to get an appointment booked for fri, if possible, in town. Thanks in advance! I'm wanting somewhere for less than £30 if possible for a cut.
Hello
Does anyone know of any film-making groups or societies in Birmingham? Tried to find some on Google and Facebook but couldn't really see much. OR any voluntary work at film/TV studios in the West Midlands!
Thanks in advance :o)
Anyone know of anywhere to spend New Years Eve that is disabled friendly and not ridiculously busy? The folks are over from Cyprus and we've been so busy with Christmas that we've got nothing else planned. Thanks for any help!
Merry Yule one and all!
Has anyone heard if the Lush Big Freeze sale is on this year and if they are open tomorrow (Boxing Day)? Preferably id like to know if the Solihull store is open.....
I've been asked to select a venue for a group of parents from around the country who know each other form an online forum to meet up in the new year. It will happen on a Sunday and will involve around 7-8 couples and a similar number of children, all under 5. As an ex-Birmingham resident I offered to suggest a meeting place but I used to live in Quinton so am only really familiar with Quinton/Bearwood and the surrounding areas. As most people will be coming either up or down the M6 to get there I figured something closer to junction 6 would be better.
Everyone coming will be coming by car. An ideal place would be a pub with a soft play area so that both food and child entertainment are covered. Can anyone suggest/recommend such a place over on that side of town?
