Josh Steichmann Boy-girl harmonies, deep fuzz stoner baselines, and cosmic anthems—Turtle Skull nails everything Black Mountain used to do before BM got that divorced dad sound. Favorite track: Eden.

Logen Ninefingers You'd hope this Sydney based collective are locked away, busy working on a full-length, for this eponymous EP is fantastic. Starting with the darkened Psych of 'No News is Bed News', through the subliime Neu-like workout of 'Take It Or Leave it' and the searing, sun-bursting 'Eden'. As the last strains of the laid-back 'Empty Ships', a track that would not be out of place on the latest Wooden Shjips LP, fades out you can't help but want more. On this form, the full LP is gonna be a beaut. Favorite track: Take It Or Leave It.

Mike Williams One of the top Band’s making records today. My site, I Talk To Planets, named Bright Curse’s 2019 release Time of the Healer Album of the Year. I had to come back and check out the group’s earlier material. It does not disappoint. The debut long-player is not as experimental as Healer, but you can see the foundation work was being done, the band had moved on from longer jams of the E.P. material in favor of more concise tunes, but still 70s influenced. An outstanding first album. Favorite track: Cheating Pain.

The Midnight Toker. This band just puts out Epic material that is accessible to anyone. They are quite the talented story tellers as well top notch musicians. Favorite track: Earth's Last Song.
