Frosty Bear What an absolutely gorgeous, amazing album. Beautiful and emotionally heavy while being uplifting. Favorite track: Les fleurs de l’exil.

Drew Music Genuinely atmospheric, top notch post-black metal without a weak or wasted moment to be heard. Immersive, crushing and somehow also inspiring, straight to the top of the AotY contender list. Favorite track: Aux bras des vagues & des vomissures.

Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) Quand le black metal défend la rupture avec Dieu, Miserere Luminis réintroduit l'existence du destin : l'étoile du berger qu'on suivait, avides, en 2009 était un prélude à la pluie de météores qui nous écrasera dans Sidera.
Le malheur y est inévitable : il se trouve dans le corps principal — les mélodies, toutes plus destructrices, les cris arrachés, la batterie partagée entre précision chirurgicale et chaos — et dans la traînée laissée par les violons. David Fischer It took me forever to finally get to World Maker, and I instantly wish I could travel back in time to listen to this sooner. From the first to the last note, this album is beyond brilliance and would've definitely made my Top 10 list of 2025. It transcends music, emanating an intense presence. Music to erect your inner, spiritual shrine to and bathe in the glory of the goddess of the dawn (whatever that means). The soundtrack of a celestial, golden, glowing sphere illuminating the sky. Grand! Favorite track: All In Time.

my_shadow I am not musically inclined to explain technical things like time signatures, etc. I’m sure there are aspects of this bands talent that I could never do justice, especially in 500 words. All I know is, the album World Maker is amazing! It’s a masterful piece of music that combines mood with power. Restraint with intensity. As soon as I heard “You Are The Sky”, I was immediately hooked! An all-time favorite for me.

Ippocalyptica It has taken me years to appreciate Psychonaut’s approach to progressive metal, which is equal parts post-metal and psychedelic, but now, as I have come to realise, they are a lot more distinct-sounding and coherent than several of their contemporaries. I do see some similarities to The Ocean (which is probably why I finally like Psychonaut), but the music here is less busy, less aggressive, and a bit warmer. World Maker sadly features one bad song, but the rest are total fire! Powerful stuff. Favorite track: You Are The Sky....

David Fischer I bought this album because of the great cover, without having heard a second. What I noticed during my first listens was my unfamiliarity with blackened sludge metal. Next, life happened, AToA and I lost sight of each other. Now, 2 years later, we're here again. This record sounds greatly pissed off and ominous, harrowing and abrasive. Multi-faceted, first-class blackened sludge from the depths of hatred itself. Sounds at least as good as it looks like.
Fun fact: Gaerea's vocalist digs this. Favorite track: Wormwood Star.
