    Holy crap...new Skull Servant!.!
This is such a MASSIVE leap forward for a band that was already damn good.
I'm not kidding. This is a full on AOTY contender. This stands up to anything l've heard all year. Honestly: it stands above almost all of it. Favorite song? Take your pick.

    Murphrygian thumbnail
Murphrygian Like much of my collection, I had this on Amazon for years. Fuck Amazon. Even the guy on the cover is shooting them the bird. The artists on this classic deserve to actually get paid for their efforts.
    Obsidian One thumbnail
Obsidian One I remember reading a review in a magazine that said this album was so technical that people twenty years down the road would still be discussing it. Well, it's been almost twenty years, and Obscura is still one of the most complex, challenging, and difficult albums in my collection. I like to revisit it every now and then, and 'Nostalgia' remains my favorite track, though the opening riffs of tracks 1 and 7 are great as well. A classic death metal album that has been with me for years. Favorite track: Nostalgia.
    terrariancloud thumbnail
terrariancloud One of the most mind-splitting, genre-defining, most-confusing yet incredible death metal album of all time, and I'm not exaggerating. Also has one of the best bass tones of all time in any genre. I recommend this to absolutely everyone who is into the metal genre at all; absolutely phenomenal stuff. Favorite track: Nostalgia.

caggac This band is sick. The amount of effort put into their work always shows and this EP is no different. After loving the album from last year, its fantastic to see these two define their sound even more and express it through a sort of conceptual album! I kept telling myself I was ready for this and still found myself in awe. Great stuff, also amazing album art! Favorite track: Eclipse Awe (Feat. Rocco Minichiello).
    peregrinator thumbnail
peregrinator I'm all here for the shift into black metal! Favorite track: Eclipse Awe (Feat. Rocco Minichiello).
    j-kep thumbnail
j-kep Just a remarkable listen. Bands don’t do things like this—gradually (d)evolving subgenre stylings across a release—and yet it feels organic and cohesive. Top-notch songwriting and lyrics to boot. Sublation: way more interesting than your favorite band. Favorite track: Eclipse Awe (Feat. Rocco Minichiello).

    Regnārs Breikšs thumbnail
Regnārs Breikšs This band opened up a new chapter of heavyness for me.

It is probably the first time ever I realised I was out of volume to add, as it needs to be played as loud as possible and even bit beyond that.

Buy all of their records - it will definitely be worth your time and moolah. Favorite track: Protagonist.

    thekurtaction thumbnail
thekurtaction Compared to other OSDM, this is not that heavy but leans more into a punk aesthetic. Lots of subtle tempo variations give it a live feel. Favorite track: Release the Stench.

lloydd I own the bands first release (EP) The Mountain (2021).One thing i enjoy with new bands is to watch them grow. Now Azimuth in (2024). I liked the EP alot. Now this release shows how far the band has matured over the past 4 years. What a fantastic set of songs. Favorite track: Goddess of Winter.
    Andy K. thumbnail
Andy K. I enjoyed their first release and on this one ElK WITCH definitely crank it up a notch. The sound is nice and clean without being too sterile or glossy at all. The tunes and riffage hit it nice and hard. They’ve expanded their sound a bit while remaining firmly in that classic Stoner/Doom style. This is a solid album as pretty much everything Majestic Records puts out is.
    Colin M. thumbnail
Colin M. Everything from the cymbal crashes to the densely packed heavy riffs hit hard. It is so catchy and groovy you can’t help but love it. Favorite track: Empyrean.

    terrariancloud thumbnail
terrariancloud Pretty cool melodic black metal that blends dark ambient within as well. Definitely should be more known within the newer scene of black metal. I'd say this album is essential to those who want more from the genre of black metal for sure. Favorite track: Beyond The Red Horizons of a Thousand Battles.
    Diego thumbnail
Diego Desde el segundo 1 se vino a mi colección. Muy buena recomendación de un amigo, de esas que vale la pena escuchar.

Esto es black frío, con melodías épicas y una voz poseída que te eriza la piel.
    Perfección se le llama.
