Jang Yoon-Ha is the youngest daughter of a chaebol (family owned conglomeration). Even though her family is extremely wealthy, she holds a part-time job at a food market. She hides her background as an heiress and attempts to find a man that loves her for herself.

"High Society" takes over the SBS Monday & Tuesday 21:55 time slot previously occupied by "Heard It Through the Grapevine" and will be replaced by "Mrs. Cop" August, 2015.
Actress Moon Geun-Young and actor Park Seo-Jun were offered the lead roles, but declined the offers. Park Seo-Jun appears in supporting roles in two films ("The Chronicles of Evil" and "The Beauty Inside") and opted to spend time promoting those films.
Early working title was "Chaebolui Ddal" ("Chaebol's Daughter") then changed to "True Romance" and then changed to "Sangryusawhe" ("High Society").
First script reading took place May 7, 2015 at SBS Production Center in Ilsan, South Korea.

Magda USA Sep 06 2025 11:49 pm Good plot, very good cast of great actors! Two main young male actors, Park Hyung Sik and Sung Yoon as well as male actor, Lee Sang Woo, are very very good looking! And very great actors! As for the elderly cast, as well very good actors! Uee and Lim Ji Yeon also very cute and great actress! Story of as romantic, sweet and entertaining. However I hate the continuous clatch of classes that take place in these Kdramas as does in SK. Hello! We are living in the 2000’s and on! I’m all for the respect these young rich people’s kids have for their parents, but it’s also fear of being disinherited! How selfish and ridiculous of the big shots rich parents! Very controlling and manipulative parents! Where’s genuine love? Then of course they are Kdramas, but this does happen there.

Debby McCallister Jun 16 2022 6:42 am One reason to watch this drama, is because of Uee, the directors of this drama, they needed to fix her hair better than that, but almost until the end , her clohes was looking better, such as, the white suit that she had on. I did not like some of shoes that she had on in this drama. This High Society drama, it was to short for me to watch. She did well in Golden Rainbow, but it was to short for me.

I did not like some of clothes that Yoon Ha was wearing in this drama, her clothes and her hair. I did not like the demin shorts, with plaid blue shirts and the jacket. The jacket and plaid shirt look okay, but not those tiny shorts, and her skinny legs. Her friends clothes, I did not like the clothes . The young man who played as the deputy manager of the market, he was to stiff , he no expression on his face. His face looks boring, he did not smile. But his friend who was the director of the market, he had all types of expressions on his face. Yoon Ha big sisters treated her like a stepsisters and her mother also treated her the way and also her father. But her brother was the only one who treated her well. If that was me, I would had run away, and never come back home.

High Society Jun 11 2022 6:15 pm I do not like the clothes that Jang Yoon Ha is wearing. For someone to be born itno wealthy family, they should not have some boring clothes. The jean shorts and blazer jacket was very boring The young man is younger than she is. He is stiff to me. I like Uee her, she is cute and she looks better than the second older sister. Both older sister, they are bad influence on the younger sister, they seem to be jealous of her. The elders abusing her, if this was movie was a real life story and her mother abused her, the social workers would take her away from her.

Someone just reveals plot. similar to Cheongdamdong Alice but in reverse. i think this drama have fast plot. drama that spoiler everything, doesnt let cast to develop by their decision, u get 2 couple, 2 different world, no one challanges them, create conflict for themself, and waste full house family, everything clear in just few episode. Yoon-ha doesnt look poor with that hair, should be the one that aggresive not timid, why? bc internal family conflict is boring. if Joon-Gi humble, stay low profile, then at the end character change get new purpose and ambition thats make drama good. but script make this character too early to know. Chang-Soo & Ji-Yi deserve that award, nothing wrong.. no plot twist, everything is straightfoward just like long term drama, Drama fill with endless couple battle. main lead role forced to love each other. this drama doesnt change cast acting, they should make something really interesting to watch, rating is because fans on particular cast, or just SBS.

annachanzy Jan 10 2020 9:38 pm @zombie everyone has different taste. Sure, you can write reasons you dislike this drama.I won't say this is the best Kdrama ever too. There are many lacking things in this drama too but there are parts that touched me and I love those parts (some parts that I watched on repeat). I watched the whole Kdrama from ep 1-16 so the words from me here not coming from watching a few episodes then dropped it. So, please don't say "this drama should be tossed to the garbage". At least for me, this may not be that good drama but this drama is not that bad to the point it has to be "tossed to the garbage". A drama you think "not recommended", for others it may be okay to recommend. For others, a drama may not be recommended, but who knows, after try to watch, you may find it as "recommended" :)

zombie Aug 08 2018 1:26 pm i started this drama only for lim ji yeong (blow breeze) but even she couldnt rescue the drama i dumped it by epi 6 the story line was stupid too much snobizm obnoxiousness a lot of humorless comedy the acting didnt deliver anything very poor i checked the ratings and there you go very low and too many nr which corroborates my feelings this drama should be tossed to the garbage bin absolutely can not recommend this drama sorry for negative comments

Bts Jul 01 2018 10:06 am The script was so poorly written and executed that it didn’t let actors like sung joon and park hyung shik shine. The only likeable character for me was yoon ha sure, I wanted to pull out my hair every time she got fooled by choi joong ki but there was still something very likeable about her. Also, if you start out with showing the male lead in a bad light shouldn’t you make sure he is reedemable by the end but, this show only gives you some weak ass apology scenes. The thing that made this show not work for me is the lack of a climax scene. There is no build up to nothing. I found the second female lead (lee hi yi) very annoying like make up your mind woman, in one scene she will be like I don’t like rich ppl or they have it too easy and the next she ends up falling for a freaking chaebol. The series also doesn’t tie up loose ends with the other supporting characters so you’re left wondering what was the point of putting them in the series. Anyway I watched till episode 8 or 9 and then skipped parts to finish the rest of the episodes.

ttalgijoa Feb 27 2018 7:06 pm I know it's lack the storyline but i think it's good tho, it takes a cliche storyline about the richs and the poors but what's good is how the second lead couple can be stand in a row with the first lead couple, and not like other story that first lead couple is so perfect like king and queen of the story, but the first leads here is showing their short of lack too. And it successful makes the beholders is prefer the second leads than the first leads. Just admit it some of you is prefer changsoo jiyi than joon gi yoon ha right? That's a success point I guess.

Binero Aug 29 2017 5:01 pm I couldn't finish it. The plot was just too ridiculous. A rich girl dressing up as a poor girl? No problem, I love that. It's my kind of guilty pleasure thing. A rich girl dressing up as a poor girl with the only agenda to find a man? Oh helluva no! A man finding out, she is rich and approaching her just because of it to rise in status? Where the hell are these characters likeable in any way? I don't know if he finally finds his love for her. Probably since it's the main couple but seriously? That's just "She's all that" with utterly unappealing characters. And the whole background drama... Clishée, annoying and ridiculously scripted. I love Sung Joon. He's the only reason I even started to watch this. But sadly even he couldn't rescue it. Simply because I just hate the story.

Fem1017 May 16 2017 12:01 am I didnt like it at first seeing it's UEE (I havent move on from Gu Min nam He's Beautiful) but while watching I must say UEE can act and she's good but upon realizing that she's not gonna end uo with Park Hyung Sik, I lost interest to continue . Though I must say, too, that this drama is good ,the story is amazing ..

Z Jan 28 2017 10:49 pm i liked how the male main lead was a golddigger (who evenutally developed feelings) because usually women are portrayed as golddiggers. tbh, i wouldnt recommend this kdrama wasnt the worst or the best. there were some cute moments, but the male leads would say some sexist lines every other episode so that was a major turn off. second lead (hyungsik) pulled off his role well though def a fan favorite

Uee (Yoon-Ha) and Sung Joon's (Joon-Gi ) start dating Until secrets .....things....feeling......money and work may tear them down?

Rae Apr 04 2016 10:43 am I didn't really have high expectations for this drama because obviously, the drama description is kind of a cliche for Kdramas. High Society kind of has a slow start, yes, kind of boring but I decided to not give up on it easily. So, as the drama progressed, I was impressed. Park Hyung-Sik's acting really improved! Seriously! Sung Joon is Sung Joon, as expected, he played his role well. The second love team, I think, is more phenomenal--didn't expect that from Lim Ji-Yeon, I don't even know her. Really impressive! UEE's acting didn't really wow me, might be a little bias since I haven't seen a lot of her works. But I like her character: tough in and out, naive but sincere.

You'll see the character growth and along with them, I had a lot of realizations. Even with the parents and their struggles. I am satisfied with the ending as well. It marked a new beginning instead of an 'ending', if you know what I mean. Some hit and misses with the plot but overall, I'm glad I finished it until the end. It's not totally a rom-com but I giggled a lot. Fufufu.

How poors think about riches , the real side of riches, how they lost their happiness in life, etc. It also contemplate ,its OK to be rich or poor but most valuable thing is our behaviour and how we interact we each one. I specially like Uee s and her brothers characters. I don't know why I longed for Uee and hyun sik union in this drama. I think I don't like the chemistrys between two couples. To me the couples should exchange.

However this drama is recommendable.though it has no comedy it was interesting to watch. Nice plot ....theres something hidden....

The story was good... smooth transitions. I highly recommend this for someone who doesn't want to watch just fluff. Lots to think about in this one... and relate.

Everything was Super GREAT! The four lead actors and actresses were all so lovable! The two lead actors are so HOT! and the two lead actresses are so CUTE!

christina Sep 12 2015 9:30 am Yes, was really enjoying the drama until about half way...kind of agree with FM. It could be the difference in language and culture that I cannot truely enjoy what the writer want to put forth. But I really like all the artists. Sung Joon should be given more dynamic roles in future. He being Joon-Gi is only a little out of his usual role. Park Hyung-Sik grew so handsome after Heir. But I think the best artist should go to Yun Ju-Sang. He really acted so well as the no nonsense president & the dominating father...his facial expression was simply applaudable....and the way he moved...wah! So real! I've seen many korean artists who are supporting roles but did so well that make the drama exceptionally enjoyable... example Jung Eun-Pyo who portrayed as an eunuch to king Lee Hwon. Thank you everybody....

purpleviolets Sep 05 2015 9:40 pm don't waste your time with this one...starts off well but really quickly becomes a bad drama :( PHS, LJY and SJ were fine, UEE not so much (or maybe it was her character that was just written so horribly? her thoughts/feelings flip-flop way too much. also, she had more chemistry with LSW...who played her brother). Wish I could say better things about this drama but I can't :(

FM Aug 16 2015 2:14 pm I think the "Chang Soo & Ji Yi" couple really steal the show. Their story is very romantic and endearing.

Uee and Sung Joon do a fine job, but I feel like the story concerning Jang Yun Ha (Uee's character) family and her relationship Choi Joon-Gi are not developed as deep as they should. Their story had also a more complicated plot... and indeed it deserved more development.

In a way I feel that the two main couples should have had their own separate drama series.

Still I did enjoy this series :)

JiYi is a woman who has a commited for her self to marriage someone with changsoo parents permission even JiYi was poor girl.. i replay the scene over and over again.. love it..

dulce balsamo Aug 04 2015 7:08 pm watched and re watched other few good dramas at the moment. im glad i revisited here. there are some points i missed b4. one is the relationship they build between mother and child. yoon has mom was once mean to her because of that prediction in the beginning of this story, but in the end she became a real mom. a moms love is the strongest among other emotions. ilove it so much when she consoled and hugged her when she was down crying. i felt so blessed i also have a mom.

chang soos mom is a typical mom-not evil but so chaebol. she had a special relationship w/ him maybe coz hes the youngest among her 3 sons. normal to want a chaebol girl for his son for a wife. she outraged when she found out that cs was dating a poor girl. but in the end she gave in when she saw her son suffered a lot. a mom is always a mom.

joon gis mom was the best. her love for her son and handicap husband was incomparable. shes so affectionate and caring, though lacking in money, but full of spirit and had a positive disposition in life. she loved her sons girlfriend, yoon ha, when she thought she was poor, but when she discovered she was a chaebol she loved her nonetheless. no inferiority whatsoever. the best.

another one is that.. money is power, but power and money dont mean happiness. look how messy the household of jang woon shik was. his wife was unhappy, yewon was greedy and so hyun was immature. gyeong joon oppa left and changed his identity; in the end he became a business rival w/ his father. yoonha sought happiness outside w/ friend ji yi.

overall-ilove this drama. many lessons learned and full of romance too. though typical rich girl-poor boy relationship but its fun to watch. ilove how hyung sik improve alot in his acting since the heirs, and hes more handsome in this drama too. havent seen any of ji yeon acting before but shes ok here. UEE is always good. ive watched 1 or 2 of her dramas before. sung joon is always good, too. ive seen his i need romance3 and other dramas. he is good looking and refreshing to watch on screen.

waiting for another good drama like this one. right now we have oh my ghostness and scholar who wlk the night. other good dramas have recently ended.. fighting..

This guy looked as if he was the rich guy in the story, but instead was supposed to act as a pitiful lowly 'poor' guy. This guy doesn't smile nor frown. SUNG JOON, Stick with modelling.. at least, there your emotionless face is needed.

Not to mention they almost became in laws (before even CS and YH' marriage issue,most likely it was CS's older brother and Ye Won) this matter was cleared in ep 8 when CS asked YH to call him "oppa" since he knows all her siblings,he even calls YH's sisters by "noona"

These two who make this drama alive. As you all said, it's kinda boring somehow.. Changsoo and Jiyi are the saviors! :D So many things that can be remembered from them... changsoo's lines to his mom (Mom, you have three sons. Mom, I chose you). LOL! Gonna miss he says those lines, the street lamp when he always showed up for jiyi, and jiyi's relationship with his mom (she's such a sweet talker, really good in playing her words to his mom). Eheh.

OMG I sound so biased. LOL! It's just funny that I actually love the main couple at first but switched to second couple later. Am I normal??? XD

I liked it. Jul 29 2015 4:12 am I actually liked the plot. It was simple yet hooking. Some may say that it had parts that were clichè, but come on, what kdrama doesn't have a clichè part in its plot?

Atleast in this drama, there was actually a development in the important characters. Mainly Yoon Ha and Joon Gi. I loved Joon Gi's role. His role represents our inner ambitious selves, but in the end, money doesn't really matter as much as family and the one you love.

Yoon Ha on the other hand, proves that she may have access to all the riches and leisures, but she still preferred and dreamed of a life of contentment and love. She grew up strong and almost independent, to the point that she actually made wise decisions for herself that people today with her age can't possibly choose. But her character also made me realize something. Nobody can be independent. There will come a point in our lives that we will need somebody's help, may it be from our family, relative, or someone we will meet in the future. And what I like about Uee's portrayal is that, she can show the pain hidden within her character while the character tries to be strong in front of others. I rarely feel that towards other actresses in K-Dramas.

I also liked the second lead couple's relationship. They were really cute. But I guess, although some may see this couple as the strongest plot of the show, I beg to differ. I actually skipped some of their scenes. But maybe that's just me.

But above that, I liked the relationship between Chang-Soo and Joon Gi more. Their bromance was awesome. They're friendship was like a battle against themselves, but they were able to overcome the obstacles- mainly: Joon Gi's ambitions and Chang Soo's doubts and trust issues.

The ending... I think I was the only one who liked it? Haha! The ending was them. It's just them, it was how I imagined the second lead couple's relationship would end (considering their perky personalities) and how the main couple's ending would be (because that's how Joon Gi is!!!). And for me, it is the perfect ending.

Overall I didn't like the drama - everything was full of cliches but at least all the main characters at the end get a happy ending. Now aside from the couples-story they had that "who will be the next president/leader of the company" side storyline going on between the other members of YoonHa's family. This is where the fault and cons of this drama appears. They add all these influx of different characters and act like they are important and at the end of the drama it's unclear on what happens to all of them. Like what was the point of throwing that story in there? It was really messy and they didn't wrap up the ending properly.

UEE always portrays an innocent, strong woman in her dramas but then she always has to have a useless and "has nothing to do with the plot" scene of her looking like a "bad girl" with all the makeup and attitude. From the first episode when she went on a date with Chang Soo and also her pictures for the makeup products.. She really has to insert a useless scene of her looking like that when it isn't even consistent to her main character image. I don't believe it's management when it's been in more than one kdrama. If you like that look, then be that look in the drama and not be something else. Geez I'm not sure if the directors or writers want us to be able to see this quality about her but a lot of times she has these drastic big plans to lead a normal life and find true love, but she ends up changing her plans. She can't stick to what she wants and is easily swayed. I understand she felt the need to carry out her brother's stocks/USB secrets, but now she's gunning for her sister's position, in which I do not understand. I don't find her reason "I want to live in my reality" as a plausible reason. it just makes her look like an idiot. And asking your ex to help you with getting your products into the mall and not creditting them when telling Ji Yi? That's low.. Win it the real way.

Anyway, sorry for the rant. can't take how stupid YH's character is.

In ep. 13 it was so great and adorable. Chang soo and yoon ha was good couple since they are the same class and both parents are agree if the will be married. Joon gi and yi gi was good couple since same level and he was good compare chang soo was childish and boastful and selfish.

Gyeong-Joon o!m!g! is he alive???. If he still alive he deceived all of his family and her mother who love her so much. what could be happen if yoon ha find that his brother is still alive? I think she will disappoint more since all her love one's always lie her and use her.

The story of drama need more time to emphasis for those scene are lacking to be highlight.

I don't think he cheats on Yoon Ha, of course what he said is reality. Everyone should has intents and plans to make it into reality. The first episode, Joon Ki dumped his ex-girlfriend because she was mean to his family and uses her power to press on those lower levels than her. Joon Ki has no intention to cheat on Yoon Ha, and of course, he preferred to choose rather than fate for a girlfriend that what most viewers make mistakes judging him? Still keep watching until the end, Joon Ki 's my hero.

Actually, I don't admire Uee and this is the first time, I see her acting in this drama. I feel her 's acting is so poor and she doesn't have any expression or facial movements. Maybe something do with her big eyes, the cornea is smaller than her whole eyes, make her awkward to express herself by starring blankly. This is my opinions of her.

I LOVE this drama honestly the story is good BUT... It is going so slowly.... We are at ep 12 but it feels like ep 6??? What is going in the company? Is the brother truly dead? What's the secret of that USB? Seriously there are only four episodes left.... I think that they neglected that part of the story because there are so much going on at the same time !! And lol these girls are so dumb , don't they know that after a break up you DO NOT act friendly with your best friend's ex??? Isn't it common sense+? How can ji yi have lunch with Joon Gi? And then Yoon Ha with Chang so? Loool .. they were trying to act all mature about that but come on we are all humans.....

Anyways I just hope that all my questions will be answered and there will be a realistic ending; it is called High Society so I would like the concept of the classes to be shown even if it means a sad ending ... Am I crazy??

It is very unfair to judge on actors if the directors are just interested to make other parties to back-up the goodies and funny parts. Yoonha is always make her clueless and suspicious while Jiyi always confidence and fun with all her ways with Chongsoo. But I not interested with this pair of Jiyi-Chongsoo, they are too common and unrealistic at the same times for me to admire. In the beginning, Jiyi is so tough against those arrogant cheabol but now, she became so crazy after cheabol boy although their family against her. What she want to proof in here? I still after the story of Yoonha-Joonki which quite mystery addicted to know what is behind Joonki's intentions toward Yoonha and her missing brother. If not them, I same as you, immediately stop to watch this drama.

One last thing, The girl who plays Ji Yi here is being noticed because she has better love interest, she's being carried by Chang Soo who happened to be the only one who is doing fine here in terms of acting), she has more exposure, better dialouges, unique, cute, not dull, romantic scenes (like the Rain scene with Chang Soo), than Yoon Ha. I am also not in favor of Yoon Ha because she seems to be blank staring at nothing in most of her scenes and i can not feel her emotions, BUT, it is unfair for her that she's not given the highlight scenes, afterall she is the main Female lead here. I don't like this kind of feeling.. The 2nd lead is the Star of the show.. I have comments here mostly negative, and my aim is for this drama along with the actors, to change for the better. Some netizen taught bad opinion of her but i think uee is good compare to ji yi. I think because of their role they preferred of funny and self esteem.

the next episode is more excited that jang yoon ha will realized that money, power and love is connected and she will get on it.

liak Jul 11 2015 11:29 am this drama is losing its charm..and all the lead actors are rookies ..this becomes very evident from their acting..i have seen 3 dramas of sung joon and everywhere his expressions and tone of acting are exactly same..and the female lead uee is not a good actress at all..at many places her expressions look completely fake and she is not able to display many emotions..ji yi is just ok and hers is like a side role..i believe chang soo acting is only watchable in this drama..also the father of yoon ha is very unsuitable for the tough chaebol role..i have seen him inmany dramas ..be it rich,poor,wicked,good his body language and acting are always the same..i feel her mother is a good actress

Honestly, this is the first time that i saw him in a drama, but he is showing different emotions so far. But.. Ade Jul 10 2015 2:38 am Already watch this drama until episode 10. But the only thing I can feel is Hyung Sik Acting... haha, I agree with Qwerty, except Chang Soo, all lead role is flat. I don't understand what writer want me to think about sung Joon and Uee... Uee role is sad chebol, but I cannot feel any sadness when watch this drama.

But I will still watch for Changyi love line... it is the most interest thing in this drama... ^.^

This drama i dont know who is the female main lead because this writer sometime make jiyi character have so many scene then make yoon ha character have less scene So confusing.Then for acting i have to say the chemiatry daebak but in term of acting they are(3 main lead)except changsoo they acting little bit flat for me.anyway Its my opinion guys(": hope you dont hate me i jut want to make this drama better(:

I just hope that in the the next eps they would give highlight scenes to the main female ONLY. If it is Yoon Ha, let it be her. As i have said, the other girl in my opinion can not stand to be a lead also which is happening now. I hope there will be no doubts anymore in the future.

Out of the main 4 Jiyi is the only one who is likeable and outside the main cast is Lee Min Suk;JoonGi's mom, is the other likeable character with no ulterior motives. and to extent maybe Kyungjoon too but ehh.. still watching this drama because I commit to a drama - once I start I tend to stick it out to the end.

Being a jinx of her family her mother taught, i think the plot doesn't tell that she is a jinx in the previous episode it doesn't emphasis well that she is a jinx. Ji yi performance is good also but i think her acting is just repeating the way she deliver and quite more boring. The two brothers was cute when they quarrel each other. Changsoo will be more mature now and not will be childish anymore.

The kissed between jang yoon ha and joon ki was sweet. I hope they will end up together with love not ambition and greedy.

jeteveux Jul 06 2015 10:03 am I used to be so eager for Monday and Tuesday to come, but not so much now. The first 4 episodes were awesome (for me), but now it's so so. I hope it gets better with every episode from now on. The storyline is becoming a bit predictable now. Nevertheless, I really really love both couples. These two couples are my favorite couples along with Healer's Ji Chang Wook-Park Min Young couple in kdramas thus far. They just ooze with chemistry.

argha Jul 06 2015 6:12 am I don't think this is among the best running kdramas..the starting episodes looked promising with such huge cast and big family..but now at ep 6-7 it seems the story is all here and there and the premise or direction of the story is not properly evident up till this episode..also most of the characters are not properly developed especially of yoon ha family members..also sometimes the dialogues of ji yi etc become redundant..the lead actors are average with their jobs but not the best..i feel the story lacks buildind of a strong premise to captivate the viewers from the starting ep..

I can't guarantee if they'll end up together but at least even if at the very end he must realize JY's importance in his life, whether he could have her or it'll be too late to get her back.

it's kinda strange how the lovelines moved so fast in HS while the story itself feels slow paced, we almost reached half of the series but everything that happened up until now we already knew it was going to happen based on the characters description, there was nothing new in the story, but hopefully we'll see some new developments starting this week .. anyway what I wanted to say seeing the writers style I think the main focus of the drama is not the loveline itself but the characters development, how they are going to survive between money and love. and so it won't make sense if both of our male leads remain the same as they are now. by the end of the series both of them will definitely grow and learn from their mistakes. therefore CS will change too, and will learn to look at JY equally.

From the beginning the set up was YJ and CS and YH and JK. Chang Soo is warning Yoon Ha because he likes her as a friend but even more because he wsnts to lash out at JK. He thinks JK never was his friend and so wants to destroy what he has with YH in order for him to lose what he really wants. While I am not sure if Yi Ji and Chang Soo end up being endgame, they sure are fitted better personality wise then YH and CS. CS does not like to be deceived or betrayed, which Yi Ji gived him since she is brutally honest, no matter the situation. He knows that she'll never betray him or hide things from him, which Yoon Ha more than often does. Yi Ji is so human unlike the girls CS meets on his dates. Yoon Ha of course is not like them either, but character wise she is too much alike with CS to really have a functional relationship. CS is attracted to YJ because she is honest, caring, funny (in a way he sonetimes can't understand) and utterly human. I get it, the actors have chemistry, they do and I first thought he was going to be the second love interest, but the minute he met Yi Ji it was clear that she was his love interest, which she will always be no matter the ending. He said it himself; he never felt such things for a girl like for Yi Ji. They want to potray two kind of relationships: the chaebol who searches for true love but gets deceived by someone who is only after her status and one where the chaebol is confronted between the rivaly of love and wealth.

I've seen some main leads play bad roles and it turned okay. I don't think with this guy I doubt it. If he can lie with a smile on his face how do I know that at the end he's still not lieing. They gave him a nice mother and father but he is an jerk! Don't like him. It's like Chang soo was saying at end of ep 6 about people not directly answering his question is they don't like him and/or don't like him but don't want to leave him. That fits the jerk just right right. Another thing that gets on my nerves is that in the sypnosis they say Chang so is hung up on yoon ha. Not the case. Is just me or what be it seems the one who ignores him and he gets hung up on is ji yi. Talk about how she says she does not bother with chaebols... Really? It is a used up line. Biggest peeve is joon gi who is decieving a woman for her wealth and status is also using his 'friend'. They make a guy like that as a lead?! I hope yoon finds out and doesn't end up with him! But then again so the writers ever listen to us fans????

And while I was unsure abt Sung Joon's character, Director Choi, ep 4 definately got me to root for that couple. And can i just applaud UEE? Her acting since Ho-gu's Love is really impressing me.

I knw its too early to b this crazy 4 a drama but I just can't help it. So looking forward to next week. This will keep me distracted from missing ExGC.

mapeva Jun 10 2015 9:49 am After watching the first 2 episodes, here are my opinions on the 4 main characters (I'll try to be unbiased):

UEE: Watched her both in Ojakgyu Brothers and Hogu's Love and I can say that she really tries her best to hone her craft. She can be both dramatic and comedic and that makes her a little above other actresses her age. She's an effective actress for me.

Sung Joon: It's my first time to watch him here. Judging from the 2 episodes, I think he'll get better through the next episodes. I don't know what it is but it makes me feel that I still need more from his acting. His gazes are really powerful and being this cold slash social climber guy really suits him. But I still need more from his acting and I'm really looking forward for that.

Hyungsik: I've watched him in Nine, The Heirs (his character here didn't do him any justice) and What Happens To My Family. His credibility in acting his characters out is really amazing. He's one of those who broke my prejudice towards idols-turned-actors. He has undeniably good chemistry with each and every cast members. His chemistry with UEE, Sung Joon and Ji Yeon is absolutely fantastic. He gives diversity to his character and I hope he can show all his potentials in this drama.

Ji Yeon: She's actually good for a novice. She will for sure improve through time. I just wish that as the drama goes by we can see a dramatic side to her. I hope the writers will give a twist to her character that will show variety in her acting.

I'm rooting for this drama! I hope the writers will think of something that would make this drama outstanding. :)

I want the writer match Uee and Hyung sik, because their act so sync, and it will be amazing story because Uee and Hyung sik has same background the leftover in the family and trying to have position. Their sorrow more likely join in to be a couple and they will become stronger because they have money, skill, pride, dream, and hope.

Uee acting was good, and more better than ojak and Hoogos, Fighting Uee noona.

Please writer and Pd pair Uee with Hyung sik, I can sense their strong chemistri. it is just they will match up so well.

Hyungsik and Uee did so well my bbs (they had good chemistry, too! ahh! Although I know it's going to be Uee x Sung Joon). This drama has a lot of potential, I hope the actors and scriptwriters can turn it around for the better! :)

She disguises herself as not being from a wealthy family. What I read at another website mentions. . . SUNG HOON's character Choi Joon-Gi as A middle manager within the conglomerate, who has a huge chip on his shoulder about his poor parents being looked down upon. He’s calculating and doesn’t waste his time with anything that won’t help him get ahead, and considers love a luxury for the wealthy. He seems to be the one looking for a wealthy lady to marry. If this is true, it would be unfortunate for Uee's character. However, other male character Yoo Chang-Soo might be the right choice. He is the son of an extremely wealthy family and department store director. We will see who Yoon-Ha falls in love and who truly loves her.

Eunji has the same kind of charismatic presence as Hyungsik does. They're both capable of being really dorky and cute and appealing to the masses. They're also effortlessly very expressive and will truly bring this story to life. Eunji would be so amazing as the humble rich girl!

Please fans, support Jung Eunji. She's a worldwide treasure!
